Swimmer's Ear (otitis externa) is an infection or inflammation external ear canal. It can be caused by exposure to water which can collect in the ear canal after any aqutic activities such as bathing, showering, swimming, surfing or diving. The wet ear canal provides the right environment for fungi and bacteria to grow and cause infection. Symptoms can include ear pain, itchiness, weakened hearing and redness of the external ear.
