The lacing system of the shoes features a supportive band around the midfoot which offers stability and a snug feel without becoming too rigid. The midsole of the Nike Zoom Fly 4 is made of Nike's popular React material. This material is well-known for providing a lot of energy return and a responsive ride. Fitted between the layers of React foam there's a carbon fibre plate. This plate pushes you forward during your runs and ensures a very responsive feel. Four individual fibres have been placed at the midfoot. These fibres have been integrated with the laces. When you tighten the laces the whole upper fits tighter around the feet and thereby the shoes ensure an adaptive fit.
