If you have ever used an older or cheaper mixer, you would know the frustrations of the mixture or batter running up the beaters, the brilliant design of the kitchen aid mixer is that it draws the batter down allowing for even mixing & a cleaner machine. The mixer comes with multiple tools, an adjustable power cord which allows you to stand the mixer up when not in sure. I would say the only draw back to this mixer is that the top speed is a little slower than I would like - it is closer to a 3 or 4 setting on an older hand mixer. Additionally the button pushing feature to increase the speed is slower than just pushing a lever across. Although these may seem like draw backs, overall this is a wonderful machine, sleek design & easy to use. Given the choice again I would buy this hand mixer.
