Breville the AquaStation™ Hot Water Machine

Solid product that is affordable. We got this because of its compact size as we have a small kitchen top. On days when ya can't be bothered to boil water in an electric kettle, this makes hot water in an instant and you can immediately enjoy your beverage. Being able to adjust the temperature of the water is a massive bonus. Of course, you can also enjoy filtered water. I have had this for a year and done the filter changes/cleaning which is easy (just read the manual guys - it's not even hard).

I own a few Breville products and am happy with those, but this one was just expensive and trash. This thing was not working properly from day 1. It was unreliable so I didn't end up using it much. You press Hot, the LED turns red but then it dispenses ambient water, I try again, and it usually works the 2nd time. If there was a way to check how much hot water it has dispensed in the last 12 months you'd find that it hasn't even done 20L. It's now over a year old and the hot water function no longer works, even though the LED turns red. it doesn't dispense hot water no matter how many times I try. And while it was working, it constantly asks to get descale every month. This is like printers, they make money from selling you descale kits or something. Waste of money. Got a cheap machine from another brand and that works great without any fuss.

The Aquastation is great until you need to clean it. Descaling is a night mare the instruction in the book are a little bit below useless. Also the measurement for water delivery are set at increments of 50mls so you are either getting to much or to little hot water and it won't hold settings in custom. Other than these small problems the aquastation is a handy and useful appliance.

I purchased this from JB HiFi on sale. It seemed like a great idea as an avid tea drinker – no need to wait for the kettle to boil but rather set the temperature and press start for instant boiling water. The reality is even at 100c it only outputs 95-97c hot water (measured with a digital food thermometer). The result is my tea doesn’t taste right - just hot water without much taste from the tea. Using a real kettle solves this issue. I rang Breville to ask why the water is below 100c when set to 100c on the unit. Was told it is 100c at the internal heating element and not at the output spout. As a result I no longer use the Breville the AquaStation and have moved back to my standard kettle that does in fact reach 100c. Don’t waste your money – it will disappoint you if you want actual boiling water.

I brought this a few days ago, I really wished I took notice of the negative reviews. So incredibly disappointing. Firstly, it worked properly 3 times intermittently. Followed by, wanting to descale most of the time, which you have to go through the steps. Only for it to reset back to descale program.. Secondly, it's not that hot on 100%, if like really hot drinks. Thirdly, to reset from refill tank from an already full tank, you need to lift the tank off the stand, empty water from the stand not the tank and replace it, just to get to reset it to use. Fourthly, and day 3, it has now begun to leak from tank stand when pouring a drink, rendering it completely useless. Yet to send it back

I have it not too long ago (around 4 months). The descale signal has come three times, and every time try to stop it terribly hard, and wasting a lot of time. Horrible user experience - Strongly not recommend it.

This is even better than anticipated! Wow. Very efficient and adaptable for various temperatures of hot water plus the bonus of supplying ambient temperature water for cooler drinks as well. All at the press of a button from a compact attractive machine. Most impressed.

Descaling is becoming a nightmare. The machine constantly wants to be descaled when we only might use the machine 3 times in a month. But the dial to put in descale just won't go to descale 1 and descale 2. Worst waste of money buying this machine. It sits on the bench taking up space and not being used as we cannot descale it.

replaced an older breville kettle to help my elderly mum better access to hot water rather than lifting kettle. It also comes with ready measured cup sizes which is of great help when busy in the kitchen.

I like the Breville Aquastation Hot

Unfortunately mine only lasted 9 months it developed a leak from underneath at the small vent at first I thought it was from me spilling water but after some stringent inspection after a period of time water was slowly pooling under the machine I bought another kettle.

makes it very easy to make your coffee and tea any time of the day. Plenty of hot water for noodles and other dishes

Did what it says. Easy to use and set up, and looks good on the kitchen bench.

Bought it today. Stuck at fill tank message even with water between minimum and maximum level.

Easy to install, simple to use, great taste for water and for tea.

It would be ideal to have a pause function or button. Right now, to pause brewing, one would have to stop and restart all setting and function.

Was happy with the machine as my daughter has a disability and this was easy for her to use. After a few months it needed descaling, we have followed the instructions about 20 times and it will not reset and constantly shows descale. Now it needs additional steps to get it to work.

My new AquaStation replaces my kettle, water jug and thermo flask. The fact that it has preprogrammed temperatures for various types of teas also makes it a valuable addition to my kitchen, and it looks great too.

The ability to just get instant hot water very effective and efficiently is a excellent new water system for our household 😍

Best water filter , find it very cost effective and different water temperature setting make it more better.

If you just have a personal single cuppu tea or coffee during the day its the best. It actually provides boiling water not nearly boiling like others. Very good product. been looking for such an appliance for ages.

Easy to use, providing cold or hot filtered water at the press of a button

I can definitely taste the difference using filtered water, even in coffee. Very easy to use, quiet and very quick for hot drinks. Takes up little space on the worktop and is stylish.
