Breville the Toast & Melt Compact 2 Slice Sandwich Press

First use and smelt the whole house out with a bad plasticky smell. Avoid!

For many years I have been using the Breville range of sandwich toaster, they are an excellence in sandwich toasting

We bought this about 16 months ago, we used it a bit but not a lot and it was carefully and well cared for, but for some unknown reason it suddenly stopped working. One would expect an appliance like this to last for more than 16 months!

Great size for 2 people, fits 2 x turkish rolls, quick to heat up and a breeze to clean, stores in breadboard slot area. What more could you want?

It heats quickly, toasts quickly & evenly on both sides, is easy to clean & can handle large slices of bread.

This is a great appliance. We just bought this one to replace our older model which we had used for over 10 years. Love Breville, highly recommend this Toast and Melt.

The kids use this everyday! Consistent results, easy to clean. The two slice version a nice compact size to stow away in the kitchen while not in use.

Everything works well! Just needed to tighten a few nuts on the arm.

It is amazing. We use it multiple times in a week and we love it. It is very easy to clean and take care off. Love the lock so in my cupboard it can stand. It makes great burger meats too but that is a bit messy and require better clean but we love it!

I've had this toaster for a couple of years now and toasts perfectly. It heats up fast and toasts evenly. Very easy to clean and compact to store away easily. Great toaster.

I own a few Breville products, I use my TM the most. I’ve had my Toast & Melt for about a year now. My family and I have used the tm for make toast sandwich delights, pancakes, hash browns and even bacon. (Bacon makes a bit of a mess but it was yummy.) Easy clean and store, fast heat up. The. TM is great for quick healthy snack or meals.

It is simplicity that the Rocca brothers would be proud of.

Compact and easy to use.

If you turn off the toast and melt appliance when it is still heating the hotplates (just the red light illuminated) it causes arcing in the GPO switch, probably due to the high current draw. We have 2 of these units in different houses and both exhibit this phenomenon. Once both the red and green lights are illuminating, turning off the GPO switch does not result in arcing. I presume this arcing effect will result in switch damage if it happens too often and is of concern! Otherwise appliance is great and both are used often by family members!

Just thought i would let you all know that this is a great buy as i not only use it to make toasties but i reheat things like leftover quiche, pizza, KFC

It is excellent and versatile. Great for toasted sandwiches, waffles, muffins, crumpets, banana bread and open face sandwiches or melts. It is extremely easy to clean and keep clean. Highly recommend this ptoduct

Love the height options

We are more than happy with our Toast & Melt We had a sandwich press before and were never happy with the finished results. This one fulfils what we have been searching for.

Compact enough to leave out on the bench. Easy to clean. Fast heating.

Very pleased with this purchase. It does all that is claimed for it; easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store, and produces very fine results.

Even heating and fast to reach temperature

This product was a waste of my money.! It does NOT melt the cheese on top or even toast the bread on the bottom using standard white bread. It does not appear to be hot enough to fulfill it's purpose. I'm VERY disappointed.
