I think it was a Limited Release SampleMade in Australia, costs $4 and is suitable for front and top loaders. There is no list of ingredients. This is the only thing appearing at the front of the bottleActive ingredients: benzalkonium chloride 2. 25% w/w, lactic acid 10% w/wChecking online the benzalkonium chloride is a common antimicrobial agent, and w/w means the grams of a substance per 100 grams of the total mixtureTo use every two months or when odours or grime are present. You’ll need the entire bottle for a front loader. You’ll need TWO BOTTLES (!!!!) for a top loader. Luckily I have a front loader otherwise, to test this, I would have had to buy another bottle!You first have to clean the detergent drawer, door and seal by diluting one tablespoon of detergent in 200 ml of water, remembering to use gloves. Then you pour the remaining liquid into the detergent drawer or into the drum. Run the washing machine at a minimum of 40 degrees (high water setting if you have a top loader)Do not mix with bleach or other chemicals. Always use gloves. Already this concerns me, as I try to use more natural products while cleaning the house. I’m thus skipping the step of cleaning door, drawer and seal. I clean door and seal every time after a wash, and I put the detergent directly inside the drum, so the detergent drawer is not used and remains clean. Bottle and cap are recyclable. As you can see from this picture, the plastic label is easily removed from the side, and you can bin it. Very easy to open. No seal. I was already a little bit worried because of all the suds this product makes. The washing machine turned out nice clean. But not any different from what I achieve just with vinegar. Once a month I clean the drum using a special setting in my washing machine and pouring one cup of vinegar into the detergent drawer. It works well for me, it’s cheap and effective. $4 for such a product seems a very high price to me ($8 if you have a top loader) and honestly I don’t have a need for it. Maybe it could be useful if you have a very old and dirty washing machine. I would have probably used it in one specific Airbnb. The washing machine was in terrible conditions, and I would have probably liked such a product before putting my laundry inside. I would recommend this in extreme situations thus. Otherwise, vinegar does the job at a fraction of the price. And after using the product there was such a strong lemon smell in the house. I didn’t like it. Even hours later, when my hubby and daughter came home, they noticed the smell despite leaving the doors open for many hours (luckily there is sun). Thanks for the opportunity to test this!
