Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 (ヘーゼル)

These are very solid as an AirPods Pro 3 equivalent for Android and Pixel devices. Noise-cancellation is top 3 for wireless earbuds, being on par with previous generation Sony WF-1000 ANC earbuds. Microphone quality for calls and transparency mode are probably the best thing about these earbuds; especially when used with a Pixel phone, phone call microphone quality is close to answering the phone directly by putting it up to your face. The transparency is reliable enough to be used in mildly noisy environments and still have conversations with people if needed. The only drawback for these earbuds are the supported Bluetooth audio codecs, but this will only affect maybe 5-10% of listeners with keen ears. Without support for LDAC or aptX HD, audio listened to from an Android device can sound compressed and muffled since AAC has an encoded cut-off from around 15.8KHz to 17KHz. Again, only an issue for people with sharp hearing listening specifically from an Android phone; Apple devices were designed with AAC in mind so they will sound much better if using an iPhone for example. Regardless, the tone and frequency response tuning are very neutral with the ability to adjust the sound with the 5-band EQ through the Pixel Buds app or through the web-app via your Google Account.

I had the old pixel buds a series and they fit in my ears so perfectly that I decided to get the latest buds but unfortunately the buds pro 2 dont fit in my ears perfectly at all, they fall out of my ears if I use them whilst eating, and fall out of my ears if I'm moving about unless I constantly re adjust how they are sitting in my ears.

So very bad. Bad fit - always falling out and getting lost - poor sound - poor controls - works with laptop then doesn't - just awful - save your money.

Just too many little glitches and inconveniences. A couple of examples: the touch controls operate when they feel like it, often regardless of whether you have them turned on or off. My devices have trouble detecting them and pairing/connecting, other Bluetooth things are much better. If you turn the ANC on then off again, the sound is suddenly very different from how it started. The ANC is okay if you don't move - any movement, like walking, causes a sharp click in the earpiece with each jolt.

I've been using these buds for about a week or so and I am definitely underwhelmed by the sound quality. For starters, when I use ANC mode the sound is absolutely rubbish. Very tinny and almost like an echo sound. I've tried the different ear tips, resetting and checked the firmware. But alas, still the problems persist. The buds are basically unusable with the ANC active. Which is strange as that is what Google is marketing these for. This is not an isolated issue either. I had a google and many users report the same issue. I don't believe it is a hardware problem, based on what I have learnt online. When I don't have ANC mode on, the buds are OK for sound quality. Nothing remarkable. Certainly not worth the $379 they usually sell for. I would definitely give these ones a miss unless you can get them on sale for the sub $200 price.

The sound balance, and relatively comfortable fit, are the only good things going for these headphones. Gemini integration, whilst quick, is often inaccurate or unhelpful, for example; I tried getting traffic and transit times, news updates and the sort, however, it was continuously wrong even with promoting. This undermines, no, nullifies any usefulness from such a heavily promoted feature. Now for the worse part... The "ANC". Is it in the room with us? Because it sure wasn't in the room with me. I can hear conversations from metres away. It's so bad. Poor form from a global conglomerate. Google should be ashamed!

Very bad noise cancellation and fit compared to older version especially for the price. Don't recommend it.

I rate these higher than the Sony WF-1000XM5 I own. The Pro 2 are a much better fit and lighter - I can forget I'm wearing them. Great sound, ANC is solid. Over the course of a day I have to take the XM5's out due to ear fatigue, even with the smaller ear tips.

Sound quality is good, ANC is ok, the fit is ridiculous. I've had the bud pro previously and I find them to fit better and actually prefer them over the pro 2. I can hear the pressure on my ears when I close my car door everytime. I'm constantly readjusting the earbuds to try and make it fit properly (tried different size but still same issue). I wish Google had accessories like different tips for the buds.

Very happy with my pixel buds pro 2, best shopping in last 3 months

Bought these on special after my original pixel buds pro had an issue (no complaints about the originals, they lasted well) and I love the pro 2 so much. It's rare that a new product lives up to marketing claims but the pro 2 version is leaps ahead of the originals. Improved comfort, sound clarity, smaller and lighter, better noise cancellation, easier touch controls. I can't comment on battery life because I haven't run out yet despite hours or use.

I would have given rating of 4 as I did face the disconnecting call issues initially when I paired it first time with my google pixel phone. I finally figured out and once I reboot my Google Pixel phone it worked as expected. I was reluctant to buy it looking at the reviews, but finally had a go at it and I do not regret, it is very light weight and fits into my ear well, one need to twist it in opposite direction and I still struggle with that as I am not used to it. Good quality sound for day to day use, ANC works really well and does all the functions as described. If you are after really great sound quality i suggest going for Bose or Sony, but if you're looking for features and AI this will not disappoint.

Was very happy with the Pro 1s, not so happy with these. The audio sounds the same, the buttons are the same and work just as well, the earbuds themselves are a little harder to get a good fit with. What's really bumming me out is that the active noise cancelling is much worse. The pixel buds app tells me I have a good seal, the active noise cancelling is on, but I still hear pretty much everything around me only a little dampened. The pro 1s totally cut out my air conditioner and the passing train, but I can hear both clearly when wearing the 2s. Doesn't matter what size tips I use, same issue. Probably has something to do with the fit but again, getting a good fit was much easier previously and I haven't been able to get a sweet spot. Probably going to return these and try to get another set of the pro 1s. For $379 I don't want to have to settle for disappointment.

Normally I have a lot of trouble with Earbuds. Getting them to stay in my ears and be comfortable is challenging. These fit well and don't fall out which is great. The problem is the ANC is basically worthless. Walk near a busy road, or go to the gym with a fitness class on in the background and the sound from these is completely drowned out, and those are scenarios where you'd want ANC to work well. The other features I don't really care about personally, but you do have to own a Pixel Phone to unlock all the features of those Earbuds which I dislike. You don't have this restriction with Jabra or Bose for example. They're on the cusp.of greatness, but as they are now it's hard to recommend them to anyone.

I bought this product like one and half months ago and can see some serious issue like no proper active noise cancellation specially which travelling on the bus, train and other vehicles we can hear the outside sound. The main issue is that the sound cracking which I think is the most serious issue. Now I am not using this product due to the crack on sound which cause my ear start paining. Also, the sound cracking happened most of the time if I connect this device to the laptop, MacBook or Chromebook. It's very hard to recommend this product with a very serious issue. I think I make a mistake and waste my money buying this product, Thanku.

There's only one positive thing I have to say about these, and that is "they are really comfortable". The noise cancelling is extremely average, I am very disappointed in my purchase over all due to weak ANC. I have an old pair of Edifier Neobuds Pro 2 and also a pair of Apple Airpods Pro 2 (2nd gen) and both have way better ANC. Using the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 on the train, I can hear people 7-8 metres away from me having a conversation perfectly, I can hear a lot of noise from the train itself and in general they don't block out anywhere as much I expected them to. Unfortunately I can't return them even though I've only used them once. I hope Google fixes this via firmware updates later but I am not holding my breath. If noise cancelling is important for you, DON'T buy these.

Decent earphones. I won't say the best compared to the others in the market. The fit seems a bit lose even after trying the other eartips.
