I’ve been really impressed with my GoPro HERO. It’s incredibly light and durable, making it perfect for everyday use or outdoor adventures. Despite its compact size, it performs really well and captures great quality footage. Super easy to carry around and reliable in different conditions—definitely a solid choice for anyone looking for a simple and tough action camera.

I’m leaving this review to warn other users about my recent experience with a GoPro camera. I had several short videos saved on my GoPro, and the device allowed me to watch them back with no issues. Later on, without giving me any notification or warning, those videos were deleted. The camera then let me record new footage over the top of the missing files, so the originals were permanently lost. I tried multiple recovery programs (EaseUS, Disk Drill, etc.) but nothing could recover the deleted clips. These were important videos, and losing them without any warning has been extremely frustrating. A camera like this should never delete files on its own or allow overwriting without clear alerts to the user. I’m posting this so others are aware that this can happen. I hope GoPro addresses this issue, because this experience has made me lose trust in their products.

Battery life poor. Can go from charged and turned off to flat in about half an hour or so while not even using the cam.

Decent quality video camera at a low price, but with some caveats. Pro - Relatively cheap for a brand name camera - In good lighting, you can get nice quality results - small and light (and rugged/waterproof) Con - Slow transfer speeds between camera and app on phone - Not so great in low light conditions - Bit of a learning curve attached - Don't bother with battery saving mode as the video quality is unusable I have been using mine for about a month now. If the lighting is good then you get some good quality shots in hi res. After transferring them to the app, you can stabilize the videos and even "punch in" to a linear lens (to lose the fish eye look) with decent quality (or even punch in to a portrait aspect ratio). My main issue is that it is slow to actually hook it up to the app and the transfer speeds are very slow. A 1 minute video takes about 5 to 7 minutes to transfer to your phone. Also, I ended up paying extra for a basic subscription to the Quik app so that I could save and export my edits (about $15 per annum). It was worth it to me to avoid having to export all the files to hi res video on my phone and then edit them manually. The auto editing functionality is decent and probably about 80% as good as I could do manually anyways (and without the hassle). Bottom line, this is not a tool for professionals, but also probably not for beginners either (as there is a learning curve attached to using the app). I just wish I could transfer video faster as well. You cannot transfer them via the cable for this model (only wireless). Also, to change the resolution from 4k to 1080 you need to turn on battery saving mode. This does lead to smaller file sizes, but when you punch in from this format, the quality suffers greatly. I started out using battery saving mode, but eventually stopped because of video quality issues.

Bought this for my push bike and the video quality is superb with true to life colour and even great sound. Definition is amazing as well. Set up was fairly straight forward with an update required before use (make sure your phone is charged) make sure you have the SD card to suit as it doesn't come with one.

Go pro does not come with an SD card and only in the small print does it say this. Very disappointed especially since my 12yo can’t use the camera on Christmas Day.
