I recently tried the Lavazza Intenso coffee beans, and overall they’re a good option if you like your coffee strong. The flavour is bold and dark, with a heavy body and a slightly bitter edge. I noticed hints of cocoa, but it’s definitely more of a traditional, robust Italian-style coffee rather than something smooth or fruity.

I really enjoyed this coffee. It’s strong, which I love but also a really nice flavour. My kitchen smells amazing every time I grind these beans - it’s intoxicating. I’ll definitely be buying these again. Happy to see that it’s available in supermarkets.

Very early mornings are common in our household with 4 children under 8. Having fresh, tasty, smooth, consistent coffee to warm me and get me to full speed is a must.

I’ve really enjoyed the Lavazza Gran Crema beans. The medium–dark roast delivers a smooth, creamy flavour with light caramel and nutty notes, and the intensity sits around a 7/10, making it strong enough for espresso without being overpowering. The aroma is warm and slightly sweet, and it smells amazing as soon as you open the bag. The grind works well across espresso machines, and the beans are consistent and easy to dial in. The acidity is mild, the crema is beautiful, and for a 1kg bag, it’s great value. The packaging looks premium and keeps the beans fresh, though a resealable top would make it perfect. Overall, it’s a balanced, everyday coffee that’s smooth, aromatic and really versatile.

Lovely roast of coffee it’s aftertaste is pleasant not too bitter. Easy to grind and really yummy coffee. I love how fresh it tastes. I would purchase it again

For me, this one was a bit too strong. I normally drink black coffee everyday and I’m not that fussy but this one was definitely stronger for me. Taster bitter and I think it’s better for people who like strong espresso.

I love coffee and already a fan of Lavazza coffee. The Lavazza Espresso Barista Intenso is one of the coffee variety that we have purchased before. I like my coffee black and my husband loves it with milk. The Intenso is strong but full of flavour, deep and strong. I usually add extra hot water to weaken it a bit but I love it. The coffee is bold and full of flavour, For a strong coffee It’s not bitter. It satisfies my taste buds of exceptional quality. Along side this one my other favourite is the No7. We have already repurchased both as it’s our fave coffee brand.

We ground these up coarsely in our coffee grinder and prepared them with a French press. The beans grind up well and would easily become a fine grind if we processed them for long enough. I like to drink this brew black with sugar - the coffee flavour is very strong. I enjoyed it but I would usually prefer a less intense flavour.
