Good coconut cream. A good tasty option and love that it is organic. Used it in my satay tofu recipe. Next time I will buy the full fat version though as that’s what I prefer.

Great pantry staple. I always have a tin of this in my cupboard, it’s handy to add to various dishes like curry’s, chia seed puddings and coconut panna cotta.

Great for light everyday cooking. This is a solid product if you want the coconut taste without all the heavy fat. It mixes into my morning smoothies perfectly and adds a nice tropical flavor to soups without making them feel too greasy. It is definitely on the watery side, so it won't work for baking or whipping, but for basic everyday recipes, it does exactly what it needs to do.

Light Coconut Cream? This Light coconut cream is something that is a bit foreign to me as the main material in canned coconut milk/cream is coconut extract and water (the thickeners or emulsifiers in these products is quite minimal). I normally only purchase the Woolworths Essential Coconut Cream for cooking, so I opened a tin of that to compare with the sample. Surprisingly, this one is nice and thick, and once I scooped out the cream, there was not much water left at the bottom of the tin. Compared with the Essentials coconut cream ($1. 70/tin), there is very little difference in the liquid at the bottom of the tin. Just had a look at the ingredients listing of the various coconut products for comparison:Macro Light Coconut Cream ($2. 10) 66% extract + waterWoolworths Essential Coconut Cream ($1. 70) 76% extract + waterMacro Coconut Cream ($2. 10) 82% extract + waterBased on the above, with no discernible flavour or taste difference, I still think that purchasing the Essentials Coconut Cream and adding more water to dilute it represents better value for money compared to the Macro Light coconut cream. It is a good product overall and I am grateful for the sample.

A must have pantry staple. We always have cans of coconut cream in our cupboard as they are so versatile. We use this product in our lemon grass kaffir lime chicken curry, but have also used it in home-made ice cream. 😋This product is certified organic and light, which makes us feel as if we're choosing a better option. Love that the packaging has an easy pull tab. No need for messy can openers.
