Macro Organic Sliced Green Beans 410g

New to us. I’d never bought canned beans before, and was at a loss as to how I’d use them, but, I made a pasta bake and in they went as an extra veg! They didn’t add texture, however, I’m glad they added an extra veg. I’d buy them again to add to a pasta or veg bake. I’m not sure I’m creative enough to add them to anything else as I generally want some texture and these lack that. Colour wise, they were a darker green, but definitely green beans! Handy to have in the cupboard!

Not the best. It did take me some time to use these beans as the picture on the can does not make them look that appealing. My expectation did not improve when opening the can. The beans are very pale looking and soft. I added them to a stew right at the end just to heat them up. I prefer to have beans that are green and firm.

Handy but not as good as freshly steamed. These are nice and great if you’re not able to steam your own, like when camping. Healthy in a salad or soup.

Great. I gave this to my daughter to try and she thought they were very good. She said that the can was easy to open, there was more beans than water and that they tasted very fresh. She also liked that they were organic and had no added salt. The beans have a 5 health star rating and produced in the Netherlands! I usually buy frozen but these are a good alternative to have in the pantry especially if you’re watching your sugar/salt intake. $2. 30 for a 410g can of organic beans is a good price.

Good back up. Handy to have as a back up, I do prefer frozen.

Exactly as Expected. I love fresh, crisp green beans, and till now I hadn’t had the chance to try tinned green beans before. Unfortunately, they looked and tasted just like the picture on the front of the can 🫣 While the canning process is great for storage, it isn’t kind to the colour and texture. I’d say if you’ve grown up eating long-life tinned veggies and you’re a fan, then these are probably a great choice, but so far I’m not converted 🫢

Green beans - good for the heart. Protein enriched plant based green beans was a great last minute addition to my beans and potato curry for the pure veg last minute visitor - paired with home made rotis - sublime. Not tinny in taste unlike other brands. I would definitely buy again.

Back up plan. I've never bought beans in a can before & had low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised by these beans. Ideal as a back up for a recipe which I usually put beans in like green Thai curry but forgot to get fresh ones (or when they are super expensive). I now have a can on hand just in case

Love my beans. These beans are incredibly convenient for use in stri-frys and curries. I have bought them before and would do so again. I don't mind canned vegetables because I would prefer that to fresh produce not being used in time and going to waste. Would buy again.

Organic. Great flavour and they are organic
