Moderate strength 12% Vit C Serum

Vitamin C is an excellent antioxidant and is great for preventing premature aging, so I'm always on the lookout for serums with this ingredient. This one from L'Oreal is a water-based pure vitamin C serum housed in a heavy glass dropper bottle. It contains 12% ascorbic acid, glycerin, Vit E. as well as providing brightening benefits. Salicylic acid is mentioned in the marketing but it's a negligible amount at the end of the ingredients list. The serum is pale yellow-orange in colour, and seems to have stayed that way after 1.5 months of use stored at room temperature. It does have a 3 month period after opening, and like other water-based vitamin C serums, it should be used up as soon as possible before oxidisation. It has a light citrusy fragrance. In terms of the texture is is slightly thick but absorbs nicely and is lightly hydrating. This is a decent, mid-strength vitamin C serum that is easily available at pharmacies where there are few options above 10%.
