Sangean PRD18WB AM/FM Stereo Digital Tuning Radio

Have owned this radio for a number of years. Had to return the first one due to the on/off button not working correctly. The replacement has had the same problem (can take several button pushes to turn on and it can be even harder to turn off - press the button & it turns off but then turns on again - and this can happen up to 7 or 8 times in a row). I've just lived with this problem. Not near a good as the analogue Sangean radio that it replaced. Over the years the white plastic has also yellowed significantly. I am giving it a 3 rating as it is still working even if it has ongoing problems.

The digital screen is very small and impractical,very hard to see, and the speaker is very small very small screen

I like the clock function, the am/fm function, the dim lighting function. Disappointing that I was unable to buy a Digital Clock with either digital OR non-digital station radio function as an earlier model had.

We purchased this Sangean Digital Portable AM/FM Radio as a bedside (and portable) radio to replace a small battery only radio which was way passed its prime and it was also very difficult with both tuning and volume control (using dials on the sides of the radio). We already have a larger version of this Sangean in the kitchen as our main radio and decided to get another one - so pleased that we did. Once you have set your favourite stations (both on AM and FM) it is only a touch of a button to turn the radio on, and if you want to change the band, just another button. So much simpler in the mornings to listen to the early news, and we can also set it to wake us up to Music/News OR an alarm.
