Smeg 50's Style 1.7L 電気ケトル (ホワイト)

Great for a bit. Enamel coating chips and bubbles off. Hinge on the lid broke. Purchased 2 (matched our toaster and coffee machine). Very dissapointed.

Just over a year old and the lid no longer closes. In order for the kettle to boil, you now have to hold the lid closed!

I have it for around one year and now it’s leaking water from the water indicating, right above the level used for turning/off power.

The SMEG branding on the outside is not heat resistant, you will burn yourself if you touch it!!!

This product fell apart as soon as it was out of warranty. Worse, most expensive kettle ever!

Love it so much, we bought both our sons their own.

We bought our kettle on Monday February 6th. We followed all the instructions re boiling water several times before use. Our tea and coffee tasted foul. February 8th went through the process again and re-boiled several times. Still foul taste and smell from kettle. We returned the kettle from place of purchase on February 10th and changed to another brand. Tea and coffee taste fine. Very disappointed.

I am having trouble with lid opening anyone else having this problem ?

Love the look of this kettle and that it is made of steel - no plastic. Performs well and has a large capacity.
