It works for frying, but cannot hold an accurate low temperature as advertised. I was hoping I could use it for slow cooked pot roasts or using it for heating milk or eggs for pastries without boiling, but it gets way too hot for that. Due to it intermittently using full power for heating and it's temperature sensor being behind the ceramic glass top without appropriate thermal conductivity.
