Amazing product!

Will buy again because of these reasons: 1. Making a Lego city out of bricks and imagination 2. Nice for building structures on 3. Nice 32 X 32 grid placement for studs

Great element design, wrong colour

I bought 10 baseplates from a distributor and I was not particularly happy, when I opened the package and found out, that they are bright green instead of the expected classic green (or nowadays called dark green) colour. I wanted to make a diorama, where sections of the baseplates wouldn't be covered up completely, but with this bright green colour this won't work so well. Now I see in the reviews, that several other people have the same issue. What is really surprising to me, is that the original green variant is also available with the following ID: 4219692, but only in the pick a brick section. In my opninion, it should be stated more clearly in the description and on the package, that this #11023 product contains not the traditional green baseplate, and what would be even better, to actually make the classic (now called dark) green variant available commercially, not only in pick a brick.

Not Green

This baseplate is not Green it’s Bright Green. Very misleading on the packaging and it’s hard to tell from the picture. Once you have it in hand you’ll see it doesn’t match any of the regular green vegetation pieces you have. Not sure why lego would change this, it almost feels accidental.

Bright Green, Not Green.

Long time LEGO fan, but I'm with the other users here on this one. The plate is bright green rather than classic green we're all familiar with. The label and photo is misleading. Might be better off finding 2nd hand plates. Here is a photo of some, with wrapper, compared to original baseplate from 2000-2010 as well as some smaller plates of the same colors.

Not what it used to be.

The base plate is much thinner than it used to be. This means any regular base plates can't be connected side by side.

Is that it?

Bought a base as I thought, "time to protect the bricks better during the building process". Took it out of the delivery box and the first that I said was "is this it?!"!! It's tiny, would be great for Duplo. Lego needs to be clear about these things. Am returning, will be looking for alternatives. Rather disappointed. No, don't waste your money.
