Multiple options for different types of breads which is great. Have not used it for long enough or frequently enough to comment on longevity.

Nice toaster for everyday use

The different settings make toasting different things like crumpets so easy. It looks good sitting on the bench. The toast browns evenly. You can choose different speeds for degrees of toasting

Alinea select 4 toaster

Not impressed. Whether I set it on white bread or grain it pops up and is hardly coloured, Im having to push it back down and wait over it constantly checking the colour. Im going to try the rye bread selection for my white bread and see if it works. I just want to be able to select my bread and know it will be toasted correctly. Also, yes, I did turn the knob for extra brown but haven't found the correct setting yet.. in a word, its .. frustrating. It does look good on my counter though. But yeah.. not the best toaster I've ever had
