ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2 Headset

Good sound quality. good microphone. but quality if the headset itself isn’t the greatest. I purchased this in April this year (2026) it’s now August. My microphone has snapped on the inside and is just dangling. Mind you I’m not rough with my headset and I don’t usually use it that often. Disappointed it broke so quickly. On the other hand though it is quite comfortable. easy to set up and use. And the sound quality is crisp for the price.

Wouldn't reccomended items missing headset scratched and nothing was in wrapping like new products should be it looked like it was a return just taped up and put back on the shelf

DONT BUY THIS DOESNT HAVE A CENTRE OF GRAVITY IT WILL ALWAYS FALL OVER IF YOU DONT HOLD IT STILL FOR 5 SECONDS AND THEN ITLL RIP YOUR HAIR OUT, THE WIRE WILL PROBABLY SNAP and the audio is a bit tinny

Bought this because it looked good and seemed durable. I unpacked it, tried it on, tested it, took it off, and put it back in the box. First off, I have to preface this by saying that I do NOT have a big head. Average head guy here. I had to change it to maximum extension on both sides for it to just fit. Then, despite it saying over ear on the specifications here (no mention on the box by the by), my ears (again average size) do not fit in it (it is a lot smaller than it looks in the image). Then, I get no audio in one ear. What a waste of time.

Stopped working via the headphone jack connection after 2 months for no reason. Do not buy.

Good to start but the microphone broke in first week of use

Gen 1 must of been the good pair because Gen 2 is awful! 😞 I’m super sad I have been using these for years and went to buy new ones after a dog ate half of mine and it’s been only issues since. The first pair the mic was floppy and wouldn’t stay in the upright position just flipped down and was annoying as heck. I took it back got another a new pair the same sent to my house thinking it was a one of fault. I was wrong my second pair arrived and seemed fine, so I thought. After about 5 uses they were exactly if not worse than the first pair I purchased I had to return. So today I will be returning the SECOND pair which I’m upset about as I really liked everything else now I’m going to need to find a good alternative as I can’t keep returning them for the same issues on repeat

Comfy for the price but i’d read the lower tier reviews and see why. Currently on my second pair within a month, both times the mic randomly stops working and the mic piece on actual headset has almost detached (both pairs have done the same). There is a tiny screw that connects from the ear piece to the mic piece that’s the size of an ant and it’s unscrewed. Worst headsets i’ve ever owned. Personally i’d look at the RIG’s, won’t be buying astro’s again after returning the second pair after 2 weeks of it breaking with very minimal use. I also think the audio jack doesn’t connect properly at times too making the headset difficult to use at times.

Absolutely great, I've had it for about 4 months and ever since it has been great. There is two problems though, the wire can sometimes unplug and the audio sometimes gets a bit crackly. Other than that it is great quality.

This headset is Terrible it broke on the first week it was making cracking nosies and the mic wouldn’t work unless it was in a certain position do not buy this mic

Worst headset I’ve ever had. The headset broke within the 3 weeks I’ve had it. The sound audio always cuts out and the microphone randomly stops working. The microphone on mine will not stay up and keeps falling down. I had higher expectations for this but I am very disappointed.

Had it for a day or 2 and the mic is very lose moved around doesn’t stay in place just falls to the resting spot would not recommend

Feels comfortable and both audio input and output sound clear.

Awesome headset, great sound and quality. Looks great and great price point for quality.

Unfortunately these are not as good as their predecessor. While the audio output and background noise reduction is better, the microphone is incredibly short and struggles with audio input. Additionally, the jack is unreliable and was already struggling getting audio from the get go. While I understand it’s a cheaper headset, its predecessor has none of these issues. I’ve gone back to the old gen, and after 2+ years it still works fine.

One earpiece at best had poor sound quality and at worst cut out altogether. Tested it on multiple controllers and with PS5 and Xbox X with the same results. Ended up returning it.

Awsome headphones can use all the time without disturbing the nieghbours with my sourround system

Good quality headset however quite a small fit. Put to max and it just barely fits over my head. The flip to mute mic is also hard to move but works fine.

its good to use on pc controller and console and is a good headphone for its price

Comfortable, works well with my Xbox. Clear sound.

Ear pieces are too small. Exposed wires look stupid. And surround sound is a bit dodgy.

It’s is a very good headset fits on my sons head great has great Surroundsound audio, but the headset cable can come out of the microphone or controller and makes to very light sound. The mic is a bit flimsy but it has great audio. Overall a great performance out of a headset for a 11 year old kid.

Good headset with nice quality and durability but earcups are quite hard and i find them uncomfortable for long periods of time, Also a bit expensive. Otherwise its pretty good

Avoid. Worked for three weeks then just magically failed. Stay well clear.

Our second pair that have gone from working to not!

Used through my ps5 controller and it sounded great, didn't soak up much battery at all as well.

I bought this headset due to a good sale at the time, however it has been nothing but a letdown. The headset worked completely fine on the first few uses, but slowly the left earpiece's audio began to fade and crackle, to the point that the right ear piece was the only one playing the correct audio. I brought this back to JB, and they were extremely helpful providing me with a new one (of the same product), but this new product was even worse than the one before! The new headset did not play clear audio at all, from the moment I plugged it in, the audio was crackling and distorted from first use.
