Absolutely awesome headphones!

They sound absolutely incredible. The bonus for me personally is no ANC. I didn't like it on previous Bluetooth headphones. Having come from the Audio-Technica ATH-M20XBT these were a big step up in quality and sound!

Finally, I can hear the details.

I have a few pairs of consumer headphones, but the ATH-M50xBT2 is on a different level for monitoring. It doesn't just make the music sound 'good'—it makes it sound 'clear' and 'honest.' It’s helped me a lot in cleaning up my audio files. If you want to hear every detail in your work, these are definitely worth it even for hobbyists.

What Happened to Noise Cancellation?!?!?

Literally no noise cancellation...for the price, I feel it's reasonable to expect a reasonable level of noise cancellation. In addition, you will receive a leather sack for your headphones rather than a protective case...such a disappointing purchase. This package should be no more than $50.

Decent headphones.

Spent a while researching for the right headphones, to suit me as an amateur producer, DJ, and just all rounder music lover. Really happy that I went for these. I prefer my HD25s for djing, but maybe that’s because I’ve used them for 15years. I could still dj with these but that’s what I’m used to. They are reasonably flat and pretty clear. Clearer than my HDs, less bass. But I can definitely hear more in the mix. One thing I’m loving is just rolling round the house and garage just listening to music is the biggest bonus. I’m finding myself just sitting back and listening to music a lot more now that I have these. I use the cable in the studio for true sound, and Bluetooth for leisure, but hey it’s hard to spot the difference really. So basically if you want to best of both worlds of having studio headphones and something to can roll round with and enjoy outside of making music then these will definitely roll you over. Battery is epic to. Last forever. If you’re considering Therese chances are you won’t be disappointed . Hope this helps ! Wait for them to go on sale.

Superb studio headphones

My old headphones got pretty ratty, and after doing some research I originally planned to buy the much cheaper Audio Technica ATH-M20xBT since it had reasonable reviews. But instore, I listened to those and then worked my way up to this one. I was blown away. I could not go back to one I originally selected... it sounded no better than my old headphones. But these ones were really a cut above - full sound-stage and frequency response, no corners cut. Punchy bass and clear treble. Very good external sound isolation with the over-ear design (these are not noise-cancelling - not the intended purpose). I ended up spending a lot more than I planned but you get what you pay for. My only complaint is that for the wired option (these can be plugged in instead of using Bluetooth if desired) the supplied cable is only 1.2m long which really isn't long enough. Also, it doesn't support BT-AptX. It has a low-latency mode, and selectable codecs using the AT App, but Qualcomm's AptX is not one of them.

Worth the money!

My first audio technica product. It is as good as i expected to be. Nice clarity and balance, but not for people who enjoy more bass in their music. I have several types of monitor headset and earphone and this one presents the same sound characteristic. The build quality also good and it is comfy to wear in extended period of time.

Accurate, Rich and Comfortable.

Tried all the brands in store including journalists favs Bose and Sony. To my ears the Audio Technica were definitely Studio Quality with their accuracy and full range, nicer than the Bose and Sony. The app helps tune them to your liking even more. Functionality in Bluetooth mode is good. The only downside is volume throttling by Apple when connected to an iPhone via Bluetooth, which an Apple problem not the headphones, which are so much more capable.

Highly Recommend Headphones

I use these headphones with my PC and they sound great. There is barely any latency and the media control buttons still work. The battery life is amazing, they stay on my head and are quite comfortable. The multi device mode doesn't work very well if you're on a call on your PC all the time, but otherwise it's alright.

No noise cancelling

Really good sound and light weight but no noise cancelling which usually comes standard for headphones at lower price ranges than these

Decent Audio Quality / Good Build Quality

*Review is based on instant use without letting the speakers settle in/without equalisation via app* The build of these headphones is quite sturdy compared to a lot on the market. However They can feel quite stiff to begin with. this should ease with time. Audio quality is decent on a flat equalisation but can be adjusted via the app. However I find the frequencies a little too heavy on the lower mids; but overall a decent, mostly neutral sound. If you want something with ridiculous bass, these headphones can do it... but i wouldn't say you're the market for this brand. Just buy beats if you're only worried about bass. The wired version of these definitely produces better quality audio, so I would not recommend this wireless version for studio use however it works well for everyday use, the gym and quick check ups if they are used in studio. Amazing battery life. Simple set up but a more personalised approach is available via the app. 2 year manufacturers warranty Reviewer Background: Musician / Audiophile

Great flat response

Great headphones with dual simultaneous bluetooth connection, a flat response, and extremely comfortable to wear. Sometimes not quite loud enough for my taste, but definitely workable in a studio environment.

Value for money

Easy to use and app friendly. The app has an equalizer as well as other features. It sits comfortably around the ears. There is a voice when you push the buttons which I think is helpful. Value for money as I bought it on sale at Jb Hifi. It doesn’t have Active Noise Cancellation but that’s no big deal to me. If I was picky, the leather pouch it sits in, I would’ve preferred a hard case instead. Caution - Listening to loud music for prolonged hours is not good for your hearing.

I guess it's overrated

well, the headphone stopped working on the same day with some hardware issues. however, JB hifi staff accepted the return and get me the refund in no time. The audio quality was quite congested. the vocals was good but the overall sound felt very local rather than surroundring. I won't reccoment for Piano as well, that was the primary purpose for me. ended up buying different headphones. as always satisfied with the JBhifi service but the headphone was just good.

Excellent headphones.

Great over ears headphones. I wanted headphones without noise cancelation, and Audio Technica sounds great. It is a bit bulkiers than some of the competition, but it just make it more stylish - it has classic design, that I am sure will last forever. Did not have a chance yet to test how long the battery last, but hope it will be as advertised. Overall, very happy with my purchasee.

Great Canns

Excellent sound quality simple to use with easy Bluetooth interface. The app also works well. I wanted headphones with no NC as I prefer a more natural sound
