Good product, but would be better if it allowed manual tuning. You can't actually set the frequency to receive free-to-air channels.

Purchased to overcome new Channel 7 situation. Not an easy task. Needed professional help to install. Need to adjust HDMI each day to use. However I can now watch Channel 7.

Great product! Best $49 I've spent in a long time. Quite a picture upgrade, fast channel browsing and switching too!

I bought one of these set-top boxes, took it home, and it said that it could not find the hard disk. I returned it. The replacement unit had the same issue. Wouldn't recommend it.

I can't tell how it works, the "instruction booklet" has NO INSTRUCTIONS at all about how to link it to the TV! Where does the aerial go? Does the tv remain connected to the existing DVD player or not? Why mention an HDMI cable when none was included? I'll have to search the internet for instructions, which is ridiculous.

Bought this for my Parents as they needed to replace an old Digital TV Converter, Plugged in, channel scan and its working perfectly, the unit picks up remote signal even from very far away, the old one had to press hard on the remote and be near the unit, anyway, enough about the old unit, this unit is also very small and compact, making it easy to move it to the other ATV Televison, it even has HDMI aswell as your AV cable. I highly reccomend this product.

This is a well made and useful unit. We use it when our hard drive is busy recording two other TV channels. Easy to use and set up.

This is a great little machine and a bargain at the price. I only just started using it, so can't predict it's life expectancy, but it has improved the picture on my TV considerably, and now I can receive all HD channels. Very simple to install and set up, even for a non-tecchy person! Only complaint is the remote has tiny buttons so if you have large fingers, it will drive you mad!

So far so good, just wanted a set top box to watch live TV given that channel 7 have stopped MPEG2 broadcast and only do MPEG4 .. eg Victor Harbor area .. and TVs older than 14 years unlikely to "do" MPEG4 .. just black screen and "unsupported" but this set top working fine so far ! Source AV2

I bought 2 of these set top boxes. I had to return 1 as the remote stopped working within a couple of days

I bought the Blaupunkt set top box a few months ago. It’s not accessibility friendly for the deaf/hard of hearing and has obviously not been quality tested in this regard. If it had been, I’m sure the manufacturer would have fixed the constant freezing of captions and subtitles. I’m not terribly impressed with the product. Blaupunkt used to have a good reputation for quality when the products were made in Germany.

Has worked great, but all of a sudden, the remote stopped working. I've replaced the batteries, but that didn't fix it. I suspect that it has lost its pairing with the set top box. I've looked online for instructions, but I have been unable to find instructions for this particular model, and the instructions that are there involve pressing a "home" button which this model does not have. Not happy.

So much cheaper than Pay TV that is offered by Telstra and others

A very compact unit that works well. The instruction manual is too brief and not detailed enough. However the remote control and menu options are easy to navigate and intuitive. There is one trap to be weary of. On two occasions I recorded a sports program I was not going to be home to be view. The programs were both three hours long and were correctly programmed. However, the recordings stopped after 60 minutes. This was due to the Sleep function which had a default setting if 60 minutes and caused the DVR to stop recording before the programs had completed. I have since turned the Sleep mode off and there have been no further problems.

An excellent top box. My Deaf and disabled wife loved it cos of clear details in TV!

Can’t get a really sharp picture on this one. I have another one in my bedroom that works much better. Not sure if it is something I have done/not done.

Bought this for my older brother, his TV is an old one so he can get all the available channels,this one is an update to the last one he had a more updated interface,easy to connect and easy to use, my brother likes it and it was only $49, BARGAIN! Very fast postage and great service from JBHiFi, thank you.

Good value, it saved me from upgrading my old tv, but it appears to have reception issues. Picture quality is not great, but will do

This is a great little unit that works well for the price, good picture & sound. My only issue is that if I have to go out in a hurry while watching a program, I cannot record the remainder of the program once it has started.

Not A Bad Product For The Price For A Set Top Box Works Really Well

Unfortunately the box did not suit my main purpose if time shifting free to air TV.

the on screen displays are similar to Laser STB I had before, so seems to be made at same factory but branded as Blaupunkt..everything works fine though so no problem

Does exactly what we need it to do at a very good price Will repurchase as a standby So easy to use too.

Didn't know what to expect when placing my order. So simple to set up when loading TV channels. C. No problems with it since installation.

The device was easy to set up finding all the local channels quicky and as a result proved very easy and enjoyable to use use.

Very basic decoder. Clunky record function. Not great !

Excellent product for its price. It is heavier (more robust) than other setup boxes I have had in the past. Subtitling works well, both live and playback mode after recording. It recognised my USB hard drive (which is formatted NTFS) first go. Records seamlessly in the background. The only con I have is the flimsy remote, which is a pity since that's the only interface you have. The remote's buttons and lettering are small. But it's unfair to complain given this price - though I would happily pay extra for this. All in all a great product and delivered in 2 days, even after sending from Melbourne to Hobart.
