Glass jug falls out after a few years

I bought this 1 Litre ' Blend' plunger about 4 years ago from Myers at Shellharbour, NSW and while I thought it was a bit too flimsy, I didn't expect the problem that has manifested this past week! Either the glass has shrunk or the metal frame has expanded because the glass jug part just falls out of the frame when pouring the coffee into a mug. Obviously, this is very dangerous as the coffee is hot. I wouldn't recommend this plunger.
