I was happy with the purchase until it started to auto shutdown in the middle of my Ms Team meeting. I tried to turn off the auto head detection and it is still happening. Online forum said I can turn off auto shut down in the app, but seems like that must be in the older ver of the app as the current ver doesn’t have that option now

Had a pair of qc35 for 9 years and finally upgraded to these! Absolutely crazy difference definitely will notice the sound quality difference. Really comfortable and way better noise cancellation! Battery last for longer to a good upgrade for anyone using the 35’s

I've had the QuietComfort headphones from their 35 (mk2) onwards, as well as the aviation headsets. Each generation seems to bring very minor improvements and this is no different. Noise cancellation is improved yet again, but was always great all the way back to the earlier QC versions. It's still an excellent headset, great sound, features and build quality. QC35 II through standard QC rely strictly on physical tactile buttons. The QC Ultra series introduced a modern hybrid approach featuring physical power/mode buttons alongside a touch-sensitive strip for volume control, which I must admit isn't really much of an improvement over buttons. I tend to inadvertently change volume more on these than on my QC35's. Noise reduction and sound are marginally better but probably not worth the premium increase if you're paying full RRP. Only other minor negative is that apparently this version doesn't work with the cable for audio if the battery runs flat.

The listening experience with these headphones is wonderful. They are super comfortable to wear, music and call quality is fantastic and the noise cancelling even in a noisy office is exceptional. The one area where these headphones have gone backwards from my previous plantronics is the microphone voice isolation. I'm finding I need to mute my mic far more often in the office when workmates are speaking nearby. I'll keep tweaking settings on shoftware and the headphones to see if I can get improvements in this one area

I bought these a month ago and my wife loved them so much I ordered a second set. Great clarity sound for both viewing movies or playing music via mobile.

It was a gift. Well received and appreciated. I already own one so I know it is good. It’s the best headphones that I have ever had. Long battery life, comfortable and easy to connect to Bluetooth.

These have great sound, I use for the gym and they don’t fall off not once. The comfortability for my head is alright it could be better but sound and wearability is great.

Love them, great colour, this is my third pair of Bose, this gen pairs better and fits better. For a change, I tried another brand, but regretted immediately, and bought there.

I have been using the Bose QC Ultra gen 2 for 2 weeks and it works well. There is however a big difference on sound quality when using this with Bluetooth vs Wired (for lossless audio). Surprisingly, the bluetooth connection has a better default EQ sound quality. Otherwise, an excellent build quality, comfortable on my ears even when wearing my eye glasses and looks and feels premium.

I bought this to replace an older set of Bose noise cancelling headphones. Very happy with the product and its operation. Sound quality is very much to my liking.

Bought a couple of weeks ago and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. My earbuds and 1st Gen headphones were very good but nothing compared to the 2nd Gen sound quality and noise cancelling.

Just a little budget plastic feel and plastic creaking for premium headphones, definitely doesn't feel nice or as good compared to my old QC25, QC35, QC35 2's. Not terrible, but I have come to love the previous quality build and feel, especially for the price tag. However, they make up for it in quality sound, ANC, head tracking and better connectivity compared to their predecessors. Sound is typical Bose, great if you like limited EQ and Bose sound profiles (which I do), though bass can be hit and miss for some reason. Prefer the bass from my QC35-2's. The ultras sometimes don't have the feeling of Bass, rather an artificial replicated feel. I won't buy the next gen if they keep the plastic build. I really hope they return to aluminium cans and a better feel without the budget creaking feel everytime you put them on and take them off. Saying that, I still absolutely love them.

The quality is not good. The covers for the foam are only glued and if it gets any heat, it lets go, opening the foam insert to your ears. It also randomly drops Bluetooth. Buy Sony.

I know this is probably a little overkill — especially since I’m not a YouTube influencer — but I actually purchased both the Apple AirPods Max 2 and the Bose QC Ultra (U2) at the same time to decide which one I preferred. I tested both thoroughly and made a list of pros and cons. Ultimately, the Bose QC U2 won for me, although they aren’t perfect. The AirPods Max 2 sounded better across the board in music and movies, both wired and wireless (tested on an iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, Windows gaming PC, Windows laptop, and a Switch OLED). Oddly enough, even after adjusting the Bose EQ, I still couldn’t match the AirPods Max 2 sound. That being said, the Bose definitely do not sound bad at all — this is purely personal preference. I’d rate the AirPods Max 2 a 9.5 and the Bose an 8.9 which is still very good. As you can tell, I own a lot of Apple products, so yes, the Apple integration was convenient. But the ability in the Bose app to pick and choose from saved connections is a really great feature across non‑Apple devices. Transparency Mode AirPods Max 2 win this easily. No surprise there. Noise Cancellation For me, the Bose slightly outperformed the AirPods Max 2, scoring a 9 vs. 8.5. However, this flips when talking on the phone. The AirPods Max 2 block out background noise almost completely. The Bose don’t block as much background noise, but they do boost my voice and make it sound clearer on FaceTime. Pros and cons both ways — neither performs badly. Comfort Bose is the winner here. The AirPods Max 2 clamp force was too strong for my liking. Not painful, but noticeable. I can wear the Bose for extended periods with zero discomfort. I also think the QC U2 headband is far superior in comfort over the AirPods Max 2 Portability & Case Another win for Bose. The AirPods Max 2 don’t fold compactly, and the case… well, let’s just say it’s not great. The QC Ultras fold properly and come with a functional carrying case. Sure, there are better third‑party cases, but the Bose case does the job and fits nicely in a carry‑on. Buttons & Controls Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the buttons or touch sensor on the QC U2. The AirPods Max 2 controls are incredibly precise — honestly, nothing else comes close. Sorry Bose. Battery Life Another Bose win. Thirty hours vs. twenty, and you can actually turn the Bose off with a power button. (Come on Apple — how hard is that?) Weight Bose wins hands down. I didn’t think the AirPods Max 2 weight was that bad… until I put on the Bose. That extra 100+ grams makes a night‑and‑day difference. Style I’ll give this one to the AirPods Max 2, but with a caveat: the premium metal build adds weight and makes them easier to scratch or damage. The QC U2s still look great and are far less worry‑inducing. Gym Use Not many reviewers score this, but I will — Bose wins here too. I’d give them an 8.5 vs. the AirPods’ 7. Not because of sound or stability, but because of two things: 1 - The AirPods Max 2 ear cups are fabric. Sweat turns them into damp clothes on your head. 2- The weight difference. You feel it, especially whilst working out. The Bose do get warmer faster, but that doesn’t outweigh the sweat issue or the weight. Price The AirPods Max 2 are overpriced — no ifs, ands, or buts. Yes, they’re premium with more metal, and I get that. But the Bose are no slouch in premium styling or features, and they win here easily — especially since I got them on a limited sale. A Few Things I Don’t Love About the QC U2 The App The app is finicky — frustratingly so. I’m on the latest version, but around 80% of the time the headset doesn’t automatically connect to my iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is the device I use most. I open the app, press connect, and half the time it still won’t connect unless I manually put the headset into pairing mode. Very frustrating, and it undermines the multipoint advantage. Hopefully this can be fixed with a firmware update. Buttons & Touch Bar As mentioned earlier, the controls aren’t great. The touch bar doesn’t offer enough granular control and isn’t as sensitive as it should be. The buttons aren’t conveniently placed and feel cheap for a premium device. Honestly, the touch controls on the old NC700s were better. Internal Cup Noise This one is odd, but if I shake my head side to side, I can feel and hear internal components inside the ear cups thud against my ears. I know most people won’t be shaking their head like that, but as a muso who does some dancing and choreography, I’d expect to be able to wear these during light movement without that issue. I own a lot of Apple products, but as a muso I also own a lot of Bose professional gear, so I don’t think I’m biased either way. I’ve tried to give the most accurate and honest review I can. Final Score: 4 out of 5 stars. I would definitely recommend the QC U2 to anyone looking to buy or upgrade their headset.

I bought these because my neighbour is doing reno work and I can finally relax with these. Music is still very clear only thing is there isn't much bass but it's not much of a loss for having noise cancellation

Fantastic noise reducing headphones that produce superb sound quality.

I expected these to be pretty great quality, Bose have always had a killer reputation for their sound engineering. I did not expect to genuinely gasp when I put music on. Never heard my music sound like this in my life. Clarity, 3D immersion, noise cancelling options, and the self awareness to go to sleep when they're taken off your ears. And they're comfortable, which is helpful now that I get to listen to every album I've ever loved through these speakers from heaven.

DO NOT BUY ULTRA LINE. Ill start by saying I love Bose they have generally had awesome customer service and comfortable products over the years but these headphones suck. Go to the lower line they are way better. The ultra series has been one of the worst decision I have made. I am a daily heavy user and have had 3 generations of the regular QC line before the Ultras came out and when my last pair was eaten by my dog I thought I would spurge and get the Ultra series. My problems are as follows: 1) Battery life - there is no physical switch and the programming on the light sensor / inactivity detection doesn't work well enough for a daily user. I find myself charging these things at least once a day. The previous QC2 would last 3-4 days of my typical usage. 2) Weight - They are heavier than the other series due to the metal in the head strap, this feels like quality at first but now every time you lay down they fall off. I like to work on and under cars and this is next to impossible with these headphones. 3) Build Quality - The hinges where the earbuds attach will in about a year start to wear, they will get enough friction that you will have to manually adjust them every time you put them on. Then they will start to creak and squeak, Uhg so annoying.

Good headphones, cuts outside noise out wonderfully and they are comfortable to wear. I’ve had them for about 2 years now. The only problem is that the cushion lining has fallen apart quite quickly and easily (both sides within a week of each other) which was disappointing for the price. I don’t exercise with them and take good care of them too.

This headphones are out of this world this is definitely worth the money. It feels like I’m in a different world wearing these. I wear them to the gym put noise canceling on and it delivers powerful sounds and I can’t hear a thing. The sound is epic coming from these headphones.

Oh wow, I absolutely love these headphones, but... i had a severe allergic reaction to them - this has never happened before as I've had 2 previous sets of Bose headphones (QC and the ones before the QCs, a corded version), both my ears are so swollen, and red and bumpy, i had to take out all my earring the pain isn't too bad, but its taking ages for them to go down. The listening experience is exceptional, the aesthetic and packaging is fab, there is nothing i would change, except whatever materials they have used to construct them does not agree with my skin so sadly I returned them.
