Bose Ultra Open Earbuds (Driftwood Sand)

Sound is quite great however I couldn’t really use it during calls, they couldn’t hear me on the other line. Battery lasts for ages, good for my ears as i really want something that doesnt slip off my ears and wont make my ears hurt.

I purchased these to try them out since you can't test them in store and luckily you can return them within 30 days, but was wholy unimpressed. For the price point you would expect the quality to be put somewhere, but on sound alone, they already fail, sounding about as good as my now decade old 1st generation airpods. Additionally, they look great but everything about them feels cheap and plasticky including the case, which due to the plastic hinge, I hold serious concerns about the longevity of. The comfort in my experience was passable which is fair enough when the outsides of people's ears can be so different, but they really set themselves up for failure having the two solid, hard plastic components of the earbud being where the pressure is applied from, and so I found myself unable to wear them in excess of a couple hours. Other than the price point though that would be fine. However, the bluetooth functionality of these earbuds is unacceptable. They worked fine on my phone for the first few hours of use, and when I went to conncect them to my windows desktop, their audio kept cutting out once or twice every minute. After troubleshooting with no success I called support and was told the only way to use the headphones on more than one device is to TURN OFF BLUETOOTH on whichever device you aren't currently listening to or it won't work because IT TRIES TO CONNECT TO BOTH. Are you serious Bose?? This is such a basic issue that's just unacceptable for a now 2 year old device to not have a fix pushed out with firmware or software patches. On top of that, the two earbuds have frequently desynced from one another and the only way I've managed to fix it is a full reboot of the device each time. 2 stars because at least I could return them.

The worst - Bose Ultra Open Earbuds (Desert Gold).......right up until I was doing it wrong - I was comparing them to in ear buds and my Bose Ultra quiet over earphones. I took me a day to get used to them - A Day to realise that you are supposed to hear the outside world along with the great sound of your music - sleeping with them in is fantastic - head on pillow, no ear soreness like in earbuds - and now after a week, due to the silicon wrap around the back of the ear its feels like I don't have them on, I need to sometime touch my ear to know if I have them in or not when I have stopped the music. In short great sound, fantastic feel, game changer.

I bought these 8 weeks ago and honestly haven’t taken them off, they are so comfortable and the sound quality is amazing. I highly recommend them

Best earbuds I've ever owned. They let me hear stuff still while listening to anything, but not get run over. I've had them over a year and they have never once fallen off, unlike every other earbud. Amazing. Please make them forever 🙏

These headphones are average at best. The quality of the build is good and the quality of the sound is pretty good when in a quiet place. The main problem I find with these are the sound is quite shallow at max volume, especially in loud enviroments, they're fairly hard to hear (e.g. the gym or in public). Another problem I find is, they don't sit well on your ear lobes, which causes a more distant sound. If you have small ears, they will probably be better for you. Overall, I wouldn't recommend if you have larger ears or like to blast your music during a heavy gym session.

Right earbud stopped charging after a week, seems to be a known problem with the charging case. Sound quality is okay for excercise but no bass.

The Bose Earbuds Ultra are great for running. They come in a convenient case size with nice look and material They stay securely in place and are so lightweight that you barely notice them in your ears. However, the sound quality is quite poor for a Bose product, which is a major downside. Even more disappointing is the call performance; people often can’t hear you clearly, making them unreliable for phone calls or video meetings. If you only need earbuds for exercise or casual listening in quiet spaces, they work well. But if you rely on them for calls or use them in loud environments, I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Good concept but honestly rubbish technically. Good luck with them not charging and not pairing properly. Often, if not almost always put them in to listen to music and one hasnt connected and you're then spending 5-10mins fiddling around putting it in and out of the case to get it to connect. Not to mention how OVERPRICED they are for something so faulty!

These are really good, the sound quality is great, although they are a little on the quiet side in noisy locations. Better than the Shokz OpenFit Air, but I found the Bose to be better for example, when I was mowing the lawn I could perfectly hear the music, compared to the Shokz I could barely hear anything. A little fiddly at first to place on the ear but you'll get the hang of it. Overall a great upgrade.

They are comfortable to wear but the sound is not as loud as I would like. It does not have noise cancelling obviously, and I don’t appreciate much that “immersion” option to be honest. They are good to use at home in a quiet environment, however you won’t hear much in a busy street/ when commuting to work.

absolutely disappointing, i purchased Bose thinking it would be great quality but far from it. phone calls feel like they at stuck at 60%. people cant hear me and i cant hear them i wish i could exchange but retailer wont let me and Bose says to send in for repair. i have two pairs and they do the same thing so its not a hardware fault i believe they need to update firmware to increase volume

I LOVE these! I have small ears and earbuds constantly fall out or feel loose/unstable which has been really frustrating. I tried the c30i's to see what I thought and they were okay but very firm and not adjustable and slipped off one ear. I'm so happy with the Bose open ear! Finally something that doesn't fall out of off. Sound quality is great and fit is so comfortable, I love leaving them on even when not in use incase I get a call. Only issue is with calls, sometimes they pick up the swish of my puffer jacket and bag, but honestly, it's still worth the price with that one minor inconvenience.

do not waste your money on these, they are absolutely shocking for making / receiving calls, i bought 2 now im stuck with them.

The battery life is too short, but the sound is super nice

When I first saw these earphones the design really put me off. After spending a day wearing them I've got to say wow. So comfy, I forget I'm even wearing them, sound is great and phone calls are really clear. Sure they are a bit pricy but so worth it.

Very disappointed as I use Bose headsets as a pilot on a regular basis and was expecting a good quality product. However, it just keeps disconnecting from my phone and difficult for someone to hear you when you make a phone call. Definitely not worth the price you pay.

Bose’s Ultra Open Earbuds are by far the only in ear headphones that stay in my ear, especially during gym workouts. Believe me, I have a full drawer full of other in ear makes and models and spent hundreds and hundreds. Useless all of them if they keep falling out. Very comfortable with a sound quality expected from Bose

Best earbuds , light weight ,better than Apple earbuds ,

Starting with my own early observations and findings: Yes, the price is pretty high. No, the integration and connection won’t be as seamless on your iPhone as your AirPods - or Powerbeats in my case. No, there’s no wireless charging option, as it’s currently only available separately on Bose website. No, the mic isn’t very good. That’s about it for my negatives. I still highly recommend these to somebody who hasn’t been entirely satisfied with options for in-ear / ear buds. They’ve been a game changer for my day-to-day. Positives: Audio quality is great. I’m not audiophile, but I’ve been more than happy. More importantly on fit and open-ear concept in general - I’ve been running with these for a couple weeks now and it’s made me realize how isolating traditional noise cancelling in-ear and over ear options are. Sometimes you want that, I’m finding that more often than not I don’t. I also using them for my cycling commute, and often leave them in while working for hours at a time, replacing my Sony XM4 over ears and Powerbeats Pro in-ears. They’re the most comfortable set of earbuds I’ve worn and with no compromise to secure fit. I wear glasses, and struggle with fit when it comes to in-ear options. These things hug the edge of your ears in a very weird and novel way but it really works.

I like the comfort fit on the ear. The music sound quality was great. Unfortunately falls drastically short on call quality. Received call my side was very quiet and the other end of line lots of background noise.

I hate in-ear buds so these are perfect, the sound is great and they are comfortable to wear. Not noise cancelling but I've had no issues when using for online meetings etc.

Lovely item that I can wear in every where, I can wear in light rails, outdoor, indoor. It performs high, and able to produce my satisfaction
