Braun FreeStyle 5 Steam Iron (Black)

A good iron but I do not like the auto heat function. i like to adjust the heat myself.

The iron that I bought a month ago is easy to use, a very good product. My only complaint, as noted by other reviewers is that the cord is too short. This is inconvenient and annoying. I have not had this problem with previous irons and will avoid buying another with the same issue.

I bought this iron based on reviews and the feel of it in the store. After figuring out how to use it and watching YouTube I can say I like it. My criticism is of the diagrammatic instructions which are not helpful. Also I have no idea how it works on delicate fabrics without a dial.

I did not realise there was no manual temperature and does not get hot enough for cotton and linen - very disappointed in performance with heat

I must say, I LIVE this iron. Best iron I've ever had. I love how it automatically changes, to whatever you are ironing. I definitely could not go back to an Iron, where you have to adjust the Settings.

Love Braun irons, have two, only because this Freestyle5 wouldn't work with name labels so bought the Pro Steam with the dial simply wonderful. Love my irons :)

I purchased this iron 3 months ago and didn't realise it does not have a temperature dial until I got it home. However, it has been the best iron I have ever owned. No more worrying about making sure the temperature dial is set to the correct material. I can iron anything perfectly on the one setting, from denim to Italian silk. Magic!! I also love that the base of the cord is set at an angle and swivels freely so no more catching the ironing cord on the ironing board. Very well designed. It is also relatively light compared to other irons I have owned, which is great for someone like myself who has hand and wrist arthritis.The only minor issue is that I find the cord a little short.

A perfect iron, love the fact that it self controls heat I do not need to play with it.

I have had my iron for over 2 years now and still going strong. It is light and powerful and makes easy work of large piles of ironing. I love that I don't have to adjust the dials as I change between fabrics which also saves time

This iron is so durable, I love it. It has so many functions so I did need to read the instruction booklet it came with. I can do all of my ironing with this, as I can use it on so many different materials.

Found this iron is very quick to heat up, very simple to use, well priced, and glides really smoothly over all clothing items. I am very content with the Braun iron.

The Braun FreeStyle 5 is easy to use and works really well. It heats up fast, slides smoothly over clothes, and removes wrinkles quickly. The pointed tip helps with tricky spots like around buttons. It feels comfortable to hold and makes ironing faster and easier. A great iron for everyday use and with high quality build should last a long time.

I tend to avoid clothes that need ironing, but I do a fair bit of sewing, so I was excited to try this. I was cautiously optimistic to begin with, but once I used the steam option, wrinkles that had been in fabric folded and stored for years disappeared within mere seconds! The iron glides with ease over the fabric. The narrow tip gets into those awkward tight areas on clothing as well.

I really like the weight of this iron as some irons tend to be quite heavy. This is nice and light and easy to hold. It comes with the cup to refill the water in the iron also. When you stand the iron up on the ironing board it feels quite stable despite having less surface area than most irons and being lighter than most mainly I think because the handle acts as a ‘leg’ to support it when standing. It heats up quite quickly also and is a nice sleek colour to match my home.

I really like the Braun FreeStyle 5 iron! It feels sturdy and glides so smoothly. The steam is powerful, and the grip is super comfy. The anti-drip function makes it great!

At first I was confused it didn’t have a power button or heat levels. But there’re steam levels that made it work as I want to! Very easy to glide. Love that you can change the orientation of the cable so it doesn’t go in the way of ironing. I love the precision tip, perfect for kids clothes. I already used it a couple of time and it ironed our clothes well. And the auto off is a safer option too!

Very light, easy to hold, compact for storage and irons great!

Wanted to really like this product as it is very comfortable to use and looks really good. However, despite being anti-drip it contently drips onto whatever you are ironing and with the steam function turned off does not get hot enough to properly iron cotton dress shirts. I wanted something that would cut down my time ironing shirts but it takes so long with this iron I had to swap back to my old cheap Kmart iron to get the job done.

I personally love this iron it's a fantastic tool for both steaming and ironing a wide range of fabrics. Once you take the time to read the instructions and understand how to properly use all of its features, it's great. I find the iron itself glides smoothly, even over buttons, zippers etc and heats up efficiently. With a little practice, it becomes an essential part of your laundry routine.

I just bought the braun freestyle 5 and it doesn’t even start when plugged in. Very dissapointed.

Very comfortable iron to use. Sometimes it leaks quite a bit of water. I don't find it irons cottons very well.

Not as good as the 2 previous Braun irons I have had. Spits water and doesn't get hot enough for very dry cottons or linens. Quite disappointed

Replaced a Tefal Garment Steamer with the Braun Free Style 5 Looks great Yes it does leak water NO IRON SHOULD LEAK WATER Cord is a little short Not as good as quality as earlier Braun Models

Terrible. Soaks clothes with water so you have to re-dry them before putting away and drips super hot water onto your legs and feet. Drops water out of switch too! Not the best result on linen with no temp control switch to make it hotter. Left creases in linen. Dangerous and takes extra time due to wetting clothes. It is the opposite of anti-drip! I just returned mine and someone else was retuning at the same time for the same issue so must be a design fault. Changed to a different brand. It’s a shame as it looks beautiful and the sleek and lightweight design make it comfortable to use.

Purchased a month ago. Ideal temp for most fabric types but takes longer to iron denim; cotton; linen. The steam trigger at the handle whilst releases steam effectively you end up with a wet hand & handle. Regret purchase.

So much better than my old iron. Effective & simple to use
