Great product, cafe quality coffee at home.

I recently purchased this model to replace the previous one I had (after 16 years it was suffering some issues). This is working well, making great coffee and generating a nicely smooth milk.

I love my barista express. Perfect coffee every time. Easy to maintain. The instruction booklet sets out instructions for use and up-keep clearly and simply.

Just purchased my 2nd Barista Express machine. Love it! 1st one lasted an excellent 10 years!

Works like a champ. It's my 3rd machine. I keep coming back as it lacks all the automation, so the quality of the pour is totally reliant on the user. My other machines succumbed to hazards related to the lack of regular cleaning.

Terrific machine, easy to use and great results. This is actually my 2nd Barista Express. And Breville support is fabulous. Can't recommend highly enough.

Breville not only have great products that last but amazing customer care. I have tried other much more expensive products at times and been sorely disappointed in the poor quality and total lack of customer care. I always come back to Breville for their quality products that last and have just had another great experience with their customer care when my old much used coffee machine died. Thanks breville! I had the Barista Express for over 6 months and I love being able to make a nice espresso coffee before leaving home. It makes great coffee as you would expect from a Breville. A couple of other things that impressed me were the good quality grinder that I can set just the way I want it and the milk texturing wand, which does a nice creamy foam. One downside though I put the water catcher tray through the dishwasher and the paint started to peel, so the machine doesn't look as pristine as it used to.

This machine has successfully turned me from a 3 cups a day to half a cup a day person because of the inconsistent outcomes and horrible extractions. The milk foamer works well

I bought my barista express over 3 years ago and I love it. I don't use it daily (I used my Breville filter coffee maker for my daily coffee). I used my barista express when I have some time and want to enjoy a cafe quality coffee. I chose this machine over other home espresso machines for the built in burr grinder. It takes some practice to get the grind size right and to learn how to steam the milk correctly, but there are plenty of videos on YouTube for that. Once you get the hang of it, the coffee you can make tastes just like coffee from a cafe. It's also pretty easy and straight forward to clean (again, YouTube helps with that!). The only criticism I have is that I wish there was an indicator to let you know when the water tank is low. Overall, I would buy this product again and would recommend it to friends.

Really nice coffees. Easy to operate.

Very disappointed in this machine. Purchased in January. Have used or tried to use almost every day until this past month. It is very inconsistent. I can make five in a row and each will be a different volume and take a different amount of time, even though I am using same grind and tamp, and have programmed the machine for a set time. I even took videos and went back to the good guys to talk with them, went over it all, half an hour chatting. They thought my grind setting was too high for the beans we are using (they sell the beans), they gave me fresh beans went home, and did it all again for about three hours! Managed to get the grind down to 5, they thought it should be 3-4. If I do that it literally makes 10 mls. On a five yesterday I was getting roughly 30mls, give or take a few. Today, I get 11 mls. What the? I programmed it for 32 seconds, today it decides no, I’m going to output for 45 and 52. And I’m only giving you 11-15mls. I can’t do it anymore, it’s so inconsistent it does my head in. Surely people don’t have a spare hour every morning to keep changing settings and wasting espresso that gets tipped down the sink? I’ve watched ALL the videos, I’ve talked to people, I’ve changed beans, I’ve descaled it multiple times, we use the coffee cleaning tablets, we clean the wand ,we do everything we are supposed to do. At this point my Nespresso vertuo machine makes better coffee.

really easy to use! i absolutely love it, it’s very much a beginner friendly coffee machine for barista’s who are learning how to make coffee. i’m learning how to be a barista from scratch, and i highly recommend this product as a starting point.
