Is it a good kettle? Sure. It boils the water, fine. However, you have to open and close the lid every time you fill it. Sure, the lid is opened with a button press then smoothly lifts up by a spring. Still, I'd prefer being able to fill by the spout. Also, the spout has a grate across it. That's why you can't fill it by the spout. That grate also stops the water pouring out smoothly. The power button's a bit too small and not that well placed. Is it pretty? Sure, it's well made that nice metal finish attracts water stains almost instantly. Lastly, that stupid curved handle. Every time I pick this thing up, I have to adjust my grip at least once. Did you ever see a curved grip on a handlebar? No! You know why? Human hands are better at holding STRAIGHT things. Whoever designed this did not test it and deserves to... well, you get the idea. Avoid this product.

We needed to replace our old smart kettle after many years of excellent service, but we really only needed the basic boiling function. The Crystal Clear fills the bill perfectly, and Breville's replacement process was seamless, admirably fast and trouble free.

This is the second time I bought this kettle. Is lovely since it’s transparent and easy to clean. However, The first time the water started leaking from the kettle and this time lid cracked on its own and now wouldn’t close. The springs in the lid seem to be a coming issue and sadly can’t do much about it since it’s out of warranty now. The boiling water keeps popping up and is very dangerous. I would buy another one of the same kettle but hippie Breville would consider some modifications to the lid because it’s a wonderful kettle otherwise.

This is a terrific clear kettle. Using glass rather than plastic or metal really affects the flavour of water in tea and coffee. My only issue with this kettle is the On Switch is a little difficult to find. However, it works beautifully and I'm really happy with it. The great thing is the huge water capacity!

I bought this Kettle a year and half ago . Only after 7 months of use , I have notice that the kettele do not turn off automatic after boiling ..why .. because the top lead cover do not close prorpely due to the boiling air pressure . boling a water , user has to shut the kettle maually ..other than that , it will keep boling until the whole amount of water been vibrated . you can imagine the risk .

Great kettle that works brilliantly. The only thing I'd point out if that after only a week or two the limescale was showing and needed de-scaling. I would prefer to be blissfully unaware of any limescale buildup in a kettle and go years before having to deal with it but my husband prefers transparency so descaling has been put on his list of things to do. Win Win.

I missed to read the reviews before purchasing the product, looks like lid issue is most common problem in this range. I had this kettle for about 3years now, and I was satisfied with this kettle while it lasted. I liked this product because of glass body and it boiled water quickly. However, the lid slowly started loosing its function, and it doesnt close properly, the water keeps boiling it never stops, also while pouring the hot water and water leaks from lid and its very dangerous. One of the two plastic hinges sheared from the base causing the lid opening mechanism not to work and the lid to pop open after boiling. Similar failure modes are reported in many other reviews above. I hope Breville would have arranged some spare parts to fix the issue upon receiving so many feedback/reviews about lid issue.

Replaced a Breville with a Breville. Had the old one for so long that I can't remember when we bought it but it finally met its demise. Love the aesthetics of the new one.

This is a great looking streamline kettle. It is very quiet which is a pleasant change from previous experiences. However it is a little heavy and feel that it would be difficult for a fragile person to fill.

Only started using this kettle for 1 week. So far all good. This is my 2nd crystal clear kettle. Love that i can see the water boiling and the water level. Only i don't like that it leaves condensation when not in use not sure if that is normal for this kettle?

This is my third time purchasing this kettle (last one had too much lime scale. Kettle Does the job, looks nice on the counter top. Will probably purchase again in another 4-5 years.

Good quality glass, nice weight and comfortable handle, but does not pour smoothly due to the filter/sieve. The water tends to come out the sides a bit, which leads to spills.

The kettle is wonderful, clear and quiet and quick. We had the previous model which lasted for years. It's great it has no plastic which gets heated in the water as other kettles have. I wanted to congratulate Breville for having listened to consumer demand and made this model with an automatic cut out when lifted off the heating plate which the previous model did not do. I do not understand the criticisms about the condensations. It seems to me that it is basic physics and has no effect on the function. Well done

The model we bought (BKE750 CLRANZ) now leaks so unless the design has changed I do no recommend this product.

Great item for kitchen

I am extremely happy with this kettle. I have been using it for several weeks now. It boils quickly & is surprisingly quiet. It looks stylish in my kitchen. I like that I am able to rotate the kettle smoothly on the base, even while it is heating. I chose a glass kettle because I am able to see when it needs cleaning. Other than that, I did not require any additional functions except that it boil water quickly & quietly. I would recommend this kettle.

I love that this kettle has no plastic in the part of the jug where the water boils. The switch to turn it on/off is a bit stiff and small and often difficult to do with one hand.

After ten days I am very happy with this jug. It boils quickly, I love being able to see easily the water level and the water does not gush out when poured.

It does what suppose to. No complaints so far.

On button doesn’t turn on well and the handle is hard to hold if your hands are wet

Take longer time to switch off automatically after water boils.
