Breville the Puck Sucker

Love it, Love it, no more banging, no more coffee grind spilling over the kitchen bench. Tip, keep the top seal clean of coffee grind, otherwise it won't seal and pull the puck out... Can't rate this highly enough!!!

Figure out what it is and isn't capable of and adjust your usage. Need to use it while your puck is still fresh/wet/moist. Only wish the top part was washable under water, doesn't have to be submersible but at least rinsable under running water.

It's OK. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it just doesn't. And there's no real indication as to why, because my pucks are the same each time because of the tools I use. It's good. But very unnecessary. Got it as a gift.

It's a tad overpriced for what it does (it literally sucks the coffee puck out of the portafilter), and you can certainly just smack the filter against the bench or edge of a plastic tub (for a cheap alternative), but the tiny vacuum suction powered by a 9V battery does the job surprisingly well. If it were cheaper I'd probably give it 5 stars, but otherwise it's a great little accessory...

This works way better than I thought it would. No more knock box waking up the house.

I was really excited with this purchase as I was sick and tired of cleaning the splatter when using the normal knock box. However it did not live up to my expectations. The suction power is really low. Sometimes it will only suck out 3/4 of the cake or it will leave grinds around the top edge which means I have to rinse it out. It has stopped the splatter issue but when only 3/4 of the cake comes out I then have to use the knock box anyway to get the rest out, so it defeats the purpose. It would be much better if it had more suction and perhaps a brush to clean any remaining grinds. I really want to love this product but I am in two minds on whether I should return it or not.

When it works, it is great - so quiet and cool. But dont throw out your knock box, as you will still need it, especially if the last family member didnt empty their puck from the day before

Bought this about a month ago. Have tried every which way to make it work. It will either not suck out any of the coffee grind, or half of it, leaving more grind at the bottom. Useless and easier to just bang it in the knock box. Don't waste your money.
