Breville the Smart Air Viral Protect Plus Purifier

I have a 2 bedroom unit near the M, with open plan living kitchen areas. I got this purifier 17 days ago for my bedroom primarily. My air purifier numbers say I'm constantly in the good range, around 2-12 on the read out anywhere it is placed around the place, so wasn't sure if it was doing anything. Today I placed it near the kitchen on auto while cooking up bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns etc. with only the kitchen window open 30%. The Smart Air kicked in and went to work, cycling through the fan speeds, measurements in the hundreds. On Auto it cleared the fumes out within 1/2 an hour and most of the odor within 2hrs. remembering the the dwelling had only one window 30% open. I thought that was a good indication of what this purifier can do; not bad for it's size, remembering the the dwelling had only one window 30% open. Since using it in my bedroom, I feel my sleep is much better than it has been. I don't find it noisy at all. Yes you can hear it when running on full fan, but next to my bed on night mode I don't notice a thing. SO; "So far so good". I'm happy.

Very helpful and has sorted out our hay fever situation at home. We bought a second (lower) model too but this one is more effective and helpful because it gives us a measure of the purity of air

The unit was surprisingly quiet when we switched it on. On quiet and low, it's inaudible from around 2metres away. On high though it'll blow the laundry off the line. The pollutant readouts and wifi connectivity go well together with the app. The way the light changes according to pollutant level is nice, and the ability to switch it off in sleep mode is good for light sleepers. Very surprised at how low in pollution our room already is although it's next to a motorway, so can't give insight into that.

We have a slow combustion fire heater and since using the Breville air purifier my sinusitis/rhinitis has all but disappeared and I’m sleeping an average of 7 yrs a night. I’m totally happy with this produce.

I placed this purifier in my kitchen since smoke gets out of control very quickly when I cook on the stove top. I saw the difference right away! I could see the purifier suck in the smoke, and the light air sensor ring go from red to blue quickly. It's also a really nice design and suits my kitchen well. Would recommend to anyone that has the same issue.

This system works well in a small-medium sized room. It is quiet and reasonably aesthetically pleasing. We used this system in our living room and bedroom with our infant son. I loved the control via the app, also being able to see the air quality readings on the air and the filter countdown is a plus. I can’t say we noticed a visible difference in the air quality while we were using this system. But going off the app results you could clearly see the spikes in air quality levels throughout the day/night. The only downside is the light on the unit is bright at nighttime and really is a distraction in a dark room.

Really loved testing out the Breville Smart Air Viral Protect Plus Purifier. Puts your mind at ease to have this at home cleaning the air indoors to help minimise viruses. We live close to a main road and with a smoker so I feel much better knowing the air was being cleaned for us especially with little children and asthmatics in our family. I would recommend every household get one if they can afford it. We cooked some bacon on the weekend and saw the colour change on the display as the air quality had worsened temporarily. It was reassuring to see that get cleared up and for the air quality to return to normal.

This air purifier has been a great addition to my home. I keep it in my bedroom for evening and overnight relief. The design of the purifier is great, it is slimline and looks so fresh and sleek. When in use it has a nice soft blue light on the top and the fan is so quiet and for sleep mode the fan turns down and the light goes off so it doesn't disrupt sleep. I like the Bluetooth feature for the unit, I can turn it on before even coming to the room. I have kept it simple and used the 'auto' setting and have found it to be relieving. Being asthmatic with hayfever (and a pet cat) I don't know why I hadn't thought to invest in one of these earlier. I feel like my sleep has imporved slightly since using this at night.

Love how easy this is to use! Set up was quick and I love that I can check the air quality and turn it on and off from my phone. It picks up changes to the air quality when I'm cooking which I didn't expect. I've also noticed my child's hayfever symptoms have reduced since we've been using the purifier which I'm very grateful for. It's very quiet on the lower settings which we use most, and isn't too big and bulky. The white makes it look clean and it doesn't stand out in our living area. Love the timer feature as well.

simple, neat and compact unit. Quiet and easy to use. Can also manage via Breville Home Connect APP to adjust settings whilst out of the house. It purifies large sq meterage, no need to move the unit around to different areas of the house.

The device very readily displays the indoor air quality running a check as soon as the machine is switched on and then adjusting the colour and indicator range to provide a status update. I loved how easy this was to use and the accuracy of the indoor air quality - we noticed when we were doing some minor constructions to our home the air quality change and it gave us peace of mind to see this work harder to filter our indoor air. I found an improvement in my hayfever allergies and my daughters mild asthma. Overall, I felt a great sense of comfort and peace.

This is the first time we have used an air purifier and found it very easy to set up and install the filter. The app was great as it allowed me to control it from a distance and to check the air quality easily. Very quiet to run and felt like the air was a lot fresher while using. Really liked the function for reducing Covid germs on the air. My only suggestion would be if the app could explain the air findings in more detail.

I have tried many air purifiers and honestly haven't noticed much of a difference however with the Breville smart air viral protect plus purifier i have definitely noticed a change in my hay fever. The machine mainly sat on low digits from the start however i received a diffuser for xmas and i don't really use them but having it in the same room as the purifier i noticed the machine working harder. The diffuser wasn't a particularly strong one but the purifier worked over time dong it's job. I couldn't be happier with this system and couldn't recommend it more highly. It is worth the extra money and I happily move it from the main lounge to the bedroom in the evening. It is quiet and effective and i love how it connects to my google home.

It was a great timing to receive this product. My son and I have been struggling with sore throats and blocked noses for weeks. We tried many products from steam baths to antibiotics. Nothing seemed to work until I started using this air purifier. After 2 days of none stop using it (day and night), I’ve noticed that my throat and nose wasn’t congested as much anymore and my son stopped complaining about sore throat. 5 days later we completely recovered. The air purifier has 4 levels of intensity, I’m usually putting it on #2. Both #1 and #2 works very quietly but the other 2 are a bit to loud specially at night. I’ve noticed when I’m cooking the colour on the purifier changes from blue to orange which indicates that there are some unusual air particles and it quickly clean the air and get rid of small too. Amazing! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to connect to the app because I don’t have wifi at home. I’ve tried to connect it to my phone app through mobile internet but with no luck.

Does the job. But has an annoying sensor light that will light up your room. You can turn it off by putting it into sleep mode, but that also slows down the fan. So you can’t have an effective purifier for your bedroom over night while you sleep. Breville needs to fix this.
