Breville the Soft Top Dual Kettle

I have had this kettle for a few years now and it's been fabulous. The only issue is the other day the plastic panel on one side just flaked off. This was a surprise and disappointing.

Great kettle, that I've had before. Retractable cord is an extra bonus. Can't fault Breville that's why I've gone back again.

My husband bought this kettle in August as a replacement for our previous similar Breville that, after many years had finally stopped turning off at boiling point. We had been very happy with this old kettle. However this replacement is so noisy it is unbelievable, to the point that a friend on the phone asked what in hell the racket was!

Quite basic and simple. Boils quickly. A bit louder although quiet at first and no light to indicate you’ve actually switched it on. Wind up cable at base is a tidy feature, has excellent capacity and very clear level indicator. Only had for 3 weeks so can’t comment on longevity

Reliable until the plastic in the side panels starts to deteriorate and leak. Panels cannot be removed and replaced. Need better glue and plastic in side panels.

I've always been a huge fan of this kettle. It does it's job well! The price is great! The handle makes it quite easy to control with the pouring. It boils the water quickly. And is aesthetically pleasing in the kitchen! Would highly recommend!

I bought this kettle a few months ago to replace similar from Breville which we had for 20 years. It's fine except compared to the previous one it is very noisy. To the point where its not possible to be on a video call in the same area of the house if the kettle is on. We have to move it into the bathroom on such occasions. It really is that noisy which is disappointing because the old one had 'quiet boil' technology which was great.

This was a purchase for our new holiday home. We already had the same model kettle for many years and it works perfectly and is very well built. Getting another one was a no brainer. Highly recommended.

The quality looks and feels of the kettle is not cheap. Alot quieter than my previous kettle when boiling. So far the performance of this kettle has not dissappoint me.

Excellent kettle. Not as quiet as I would like it to be but then it is boiling water!! Easy to clean.

Lovely looking, if you boil full one after another, when you lift lid the condensation runs down handle onto your hand

Works as it should. Hope it lasts as long as my previous Breville kettle. Could do with light on button when on.

I end up buying Soft Top@Dual again after objectively going through the review comments of similar products. The first one was reliable and lasted for a long time. The new one is quieter and boils quicker.

I have owned this kettle for 3 1/2 years now, used multiple times every day, still working perfectly only needs basic cleaning.

I bought this product years ago and it still works very well. I would buy this again.

I brought the Breville Soft Top Duel as an interim kettle as our old kettle broke. We were all surprised at how quiet this kettle is. We have a baby in the house at the moment, our old kettle (which was expensive and not a Breville) would wake the baby when it boiled. We can use the Breville Soft Top Duel with the baby sleeping in the lounge area near the kitchen without him waking up. Boil time, a full kettel of 1.7 Litres, time was 3 minutes and 55 seconds. The duel widows are a handy feature as well. We find it easy to fill and use. We have had the kettle for three weeks now, with four adults and two children in the house, the kettle is being used constantly and is performing excellently. Overall we are happy with this kettle and will keep it. For the price, this is an excellent little kettle.

I bought this kettle a year ago as I wanted a 2400W kettle. It is still working well to this day and boils water quite fast. Well made and easy to use.

We have had our kettle for at least 2 years. It replaced another exact same kettle. The original one still works perfectly, but the little plastic bit on the lid kept popping off after a number of years. Doesn’t effect performance but just looked a bit blah so we replaced it with the same kettle. Still have the other one and take it camping with us. Boils relatively quick. There are so many kettles with extra features that this doesn’t have, but at the end of the day, I just want to boil water for hot drinks etc. this is basic and does the job. It is a little loud which is why I gave it 4 starts and not 5. If they could quieter it a little, it would be perfect.

not bad, good price for stainless steel. It's strangely noisy though! Be prepared to turn up your tv while the kettle boils lol

Great product. Very nice design, excellent functionality, great addition to the Breville family of products I own and use everyday.

I'm very happy with the kettle. The only improvement I would suggest would be to have a light that goes on when the kettle is turned on. Other than that, no problems!

Value for money. Quiet operation. Good design.
