Caviar Midnight Coupe Bowl 15.5x6cm in Black/Blue

Whilst I love the style of this, the quality is another issue. I bought a number of these and the glazing on it scratches very easily. Even in the store, trying to find piece that were not scratched was a bit of a hunt. The bowls are microwave and dishwasher safe yet they crack when reheating any food in the microwave. This is the same for their entire Midnight Caviar range. Unfortunately when dealing with Maxwell Williams directly (through distributor HAG) their customer service is lacking. Very slow vague responses. Multiple follow ups to get replacements, you get told they sent you replacements only to found out 8 weeks later still hasn't been sent and no one has bothered to follow up. Service aside, as for the quality of these plate, I would not recommend. 3 mins on medium heat (800w) in the microwave to reheat some left overs and the plate starts developing hairline cracks that go all the way through. You end up with juices from your food (if any) leaking through the cracks. A simple google search will show that there other experiencing the same issues. Its a shame because they are beautiful to look at and to plate up - just don't expect to be able to reheat them. Only good for serving.

The handmade style bowl has an amazing glaze, each one is individual. The colour is truely beautiful and a great party talking piece.
