I recently finished a bottle of this cleanser that lasted me well over a year, so you definitely don’t need much each time. Overall, I really liked using it. It foams nicely, leaves my skin feeling clean and doesn’t make it feel dry or stripped afterwards. It was a pleasant cleanser to use every day and the bottle lasted ages, which made it good value. The only downside is that I later realised it wasn’t the best choice for my rosacea-prone skin. While it wasn’t a bad product, I noticed my skin seemed happier after switching to something more suited to rosacea. If you don’t have rosacea, I think it’s a really nice hydrating foaming cleanser. Unfortunately, for my skin type, it just wasn’t the ideal match in the long run.
Love using this oil cleanser to remove makeup. It really works well and feels great on the skin.
I wasn't too sure about a foaming oil cleanser but when my husband was complaining about his dry skin feeling more sensitive after each wash, I decided to get this for him. It is one of the few Cerave cleansers that I had not yet tried, and I had been very satisfied with their other cleansers. This cleanser is housed in a similar pump packaging as the other Cerave cleansers, but the bottle is see through with a light golden liquid inside. It is made in France. The usage direction is the same as other foaming cleaners - dampen skin and massage the product unto skin. It emulsifies and foams, and then you can rinse off. I found that when I usefeeling more dry in winter especially with tretinoin, I find myself reaching out for this more than expected. It has worked so well. There's nothing quite like it - most oil cleansers are better as a first cleanser and you still need a second cleanser, but this is different in that you only need one product.d this myself, it did a good job of removing water-resistant sunscreen and make-up. Despite having oil in the formula, it washes off leaving your skin feeling skin but lightly moisturised. It never leaves any oily or greasy film behind. It has worked really well for my husband in calming that winter post-cleanse irritation. My dehydrated skin has also been benefiting from using this - it's just so comfortable and cleans well. It is also excellent on the days I don't feel like double-cleansing. As a comparison with the Cerave cream-to-foam face cleanser (which I also love), I would say that the slightly oilier texture in this feels nicer for removing make-up, and also leaves skin more hydrated and soft than the former. If you have normal to dry skin, the cream-to-foam face cleanser would be great. If you have dry to very dry skin, try this foaming oil cleanser.
The idea of a 'foaming oil cleanser' never really appealed to me due to the 'oil' part, but when my husband kept saying that his face has been feeling dry, and also irritated after washing with other foaming cleansers for dry sensitive skin, I decided to buy this for him. And of course I had to try it for myself too. Surprisingly - I love it! The cleanser is housed in a similar pump packaging as the other Cerave cleansers, but the bottle is see through with a light golden liquid inside. I was pleased to see that this product was Made in France, unlike the other Cerave cleansers that are now Made in China. As it is a dedicated face cleanser, it is a bit more expensive that Cerave's hydrating cleanser or foaming cleanser. You use it by dampening skin with water, then massaging the product unto skin until it emulsifies and foams, and then rinse off. It effectively removes water-resistant sunscreen and make-up, and leaves skin cleansed but leaves a hydrated and very lightly moisturised feeling. It does not leave skin 'oily', which is what I was fearing. The combination of glycerin and squalane somehow achieves this very comfortable feeling after rinsing. It has worked really well for my husband in calming that winter post-cleanse irritation. As my own skin (usually dehydrated) has been feeling more dry in winter especially with tretinoin, I find myself reaching out for this more than expected. It has worked so well. There's nothing quite like it - most oil cleansers are better as a first cleanser and you still need a second cleanser, but this is different in that you only need one product.
I have been using this cleanser for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s been a solid addition to my routine. I have dry skin, and this cleanser manages to clean without leaving my face feeling tight or stripped, which is rare for anything that foams. It starts off with an oily texture and lathers lightly, which makes it feel gentle and non-irritating. It removes sunscreen and general daily buildup well, though I wouldn’t rely on it to take off heavy makeup. What I appreciate is that it doesn’t dry me out and actually leaves my skin feeling comfortable after rinsing. The formula includes ceramides and squalane, which are great for supporting the skin barrier, and it’s fragrance-free, a plus for sensitive skin. Not a miracle product, but very reliable if you are looking for a no-frills, hydrating cleanser that does the job.
This is a fantastic oil cleanser that breaks down makeup and sunscreen well. It does take a bit more work and patience to get it to work but it does work. I have combination skin and find this is great for my skin, it's not my favourite oil cleanser but for the price and availability, it's a great day to day oil cleanser. I find I have to use a separate makeup remover for waterproof eye makeup but overall I think this works well. It doesn't leave any residue after a second cleanse and when it's on sale it is an absolute bargain.
This my to go to face wash and it cleans my makeup without drying my face use it twice a day I recommend it
