Cygnett Dashview Vice Universal Car Mount Smartphone Holder

I originally tried a Cygnett mount that would fit to my air vents but it didn’t so I bought this one. Like others, I struggled to mount it to the dash so bought double sided tape. It sticks to the dash but the part that clips in isn’t stable. I’m gonna try sticky tape with that part too and see if that works. I don’t want my phone slipping while driving. I also can’t recommend this product. I’d rather I hadn’t had to clip it in. If tape doesn’t work on the clip I’ll have to switch away from Cygnett which is a shame as generally I like their products.

Misleading..Tried to mount it on several dashboards and no surprises...it doesn't stick. It needs an adhesive mount to be able to stick properly. Absolute waste of money

The holder couldn't hold my phone due to its weight as soon as I put it in the thing. It's a standard Samsung. My phone was angled towards the floor for the entire time I used it. Very poorly engineered. Complete waste of money.

The arm is short hand to reach to put your phone into it. Extremely difficult & stiff trying to pull open the holder to put the phone in. Not happy at all. Preferred the Samsung one I had and couldn’t buy this time no stock.

Phone is sturdy . Easy to use and adhere well to windscreen

I bought the clip on air vent model and it was useless and broke. The suction cup to the windscreen is in a better position now and is very easy to use and manoeuvre. So much better.

Car mount sits securely on my windscreen & holds phone perfectly. I can use a dashcam app & I get a perfect view of road ahead.

So far, this has been great. Can fit Pixels and Samsung FlipZ. The only thing to be aware of is that if you park in the sun, and shortly after getting into your hot car, it will fall off and not adhere properly. In Australia, if that makes a difference to you. Otherwise, so far so good.

This product worked for awhile. I have an IPhone 7, my daughter an IPhone 14, and it really isn’t suitable for the bigger phone. In hot weather it warps and so whole unit falls from windscreen. Eventually the clip to tighten the position doesn’t work. An absolute waste of money for just a few months of working life.

Problem is it’s not wide . I have to remove cover of my iPhone then attach

Very easy to install, sticks to window good, and is capable of holdimg larger heavier phones. Highly recommend this product.

Good value for your money, good entry level holder

Okay for the price, I don’t believe is will last long.

Bought to use across two cars when using maps for navigation so kept in the house so it's available for whatever car I get into. Have also found it handy in my home office attached to a filing cabinet next to my desk to hold the phone while I'm working.

Lasted 10 minutes fell of and broke apart, Tried reassembly but no luck

Had a hard time holding my phone up, and only adheres to my window which makes it difficult to see.

As title states, the only advantage that it fits the iPhone 13 pro Max perfectly, however the construction of the actual pull out cradle is worse then a $5 fakie from parklea markets. Shame I can’t upload a photo of it falling apart once taking the phone out of cradle first time. FLIMSY.

Tightening mechanism does not work, hence holder will not stay upright with the weight of standard size/ave weight smart phone. Total waste of money. Does not do what it’s meant to do. Frustrating.

Very cheap quality plastic. The build quality is ridiculous and we can even hear the springs squeaking every time we put the phone in and take out. Not worth the price. Can get far better one from other brands. I won’t recommend this to anyone.

The phone clamp is very clunky and not smooth to use. Also too shallow so a thick case cannot be held

Easy to attach and setup phone. Attachment to windscreen is strong and stable.

I bought this for my dad. It needed to be secure and easy to install - as well as cope with a bit of off-road bumpiness. He's very happy with it and now wants one for another car. So.. I guess that's as good a recommendation as you can get. Nice one.

Absolutely shocking , it’s so cheap, doesn’t tighten properly. I can’t give it any less

Unfortunately I will be returning said item it doesn't stay erected during use keeps tilting down tried to continually tighten it but not ideal whilst driving such a disappointment.

I changed it with the one is sticked to the air condition channel, and I’m really satisfied with it.

Always comes loose when driving so i can't see the phone properly

It isn't very durable, and the arm is too short so the phone is too close to the glass.

As does my review title. It sticks to surfaces and holds my phone.

Suction cup sticks to the windscreen strongly and holds my iphone perfectly stable with no shaking or vibration and has proven far superior compared to holders up to 3 times more expensive I’ve purchased in the past.
