De'Longhi EC9555.M La Specialista Opera Manual Espresso Machine (Metal)

Not bad and not that great, in terms of the hot brewing, 1. I get cold cappuccino every time, started to have my cup dipped in the hot water prior to extraction, which is messy process, I do run two blank extractions with basket filters attached thinking they will be warm when actual extraction happens. It’s coming bit warmer coffee after all of this hassle, I would like to know how to get hot cappacinno? 2. Basket filter feels very tight when loading for the extraction, I do check if it’s not full before loading but mostly find that it’s too tight, I feel something wrong or is the norm? I start my machine 15 20 minutes prior to use. 3. Tastes good, using Delonghe signature blend, will be trying other options as I get more used to it, it’s my first coffee machine. 4. Sometimes extraction happens so quick, doesn’t make good coffee, it disappoints me that happens but sometimes it takes slow extraction with optimum level which I find delighting.

Very disappointing experience with my DeLonghi La Specialista Maestro. I purchased this as a premium espresso machine, expecting strong reliability and support. Unfortunately, the machine has had repeated issues since purchase. It previously had to be sent to a DeLonghi recommended service centre, where it was held for close to four weeks. It later developed further faults and was sent to another DeLonghi recommended service centre on 28 April. Multiple parts have since been replaced, including the safety valve, solenoid valve and expansion chamber, but the general alarm fault still could not be resolved. DeLonghi’s own technical team was also involved, but the issue remained unresolved. DeLonghi offered 40% off another machine. I did not consider this fair, as it still required me to pay most of the cost of replacing a premium machine that has had repeated faults and could not be repaired through their recommended service network. After I pushed back, DeLonghi declined to provide a replacement, refurbished replacement, or meaningful refund/credit. They instead offered to cover the service cost and order yet another part to attempt another repair. After being without the machine since 28 April, and after several parts have already been replaced without fixing the issue, I found this response very poor. For a premium machine, I expected better reliability and much better customer support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend DeLonghi coffee machines, particularly if you expect reliable customer support when something goes wrong.

Only had machine for a short time and first up was a bit daunted whether I could manage it, but now find it so easy to use, plus no problems in keeping clean.

Wonderful machine, for the most part! The steaming of the milk does take quite a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it the coffees are excellent.

I previously had the delonghi la specialista prestiggio and I absolutely loved it. I had it for 4 years and then decided to get another one. I went with the Opera and you can tell its the better version of the 2. The milk frother is fantastic the milk comes out soft and silky. I barely had to make any changes when I first set it up. Also I love how the "ok" button is the power button. This is the perfect machine without breaking the bank in my opinion.

Very easy to use, stylish. Took a little time to work out perfect coffee but easy to do with the dials. Perfect coffee everytime now.

I recently purchased the De’Longhi La Specialista Opera Manual (EC9555M) and so far I’m very happy with it. This is my first serious manual espresso machine, and it has been a great upgrade. The espresso quality is very good once dialled in properly, and the built-in grinder makes it convenient to use. I mainly drink lattes, and the steam wand is powerful enough to produce smooth, creamy milk with good microfoam after a bit of practice. The machine feels solid and well built, and the controls are quite intuitive for a manual-style machine. It does take some time to learn grind size, dose and extraction, but that’s part of the fun if you enjoy making coffee by hand. Overall, it’s a great choice for home users who like milk-based coffees and want more control than a fully automatic machine.

I love my La Specialista, I now prefer my own coffee over Cafe coffee, it doesn't measure up! It's easy to use, easy to clean and good milk frothing capacity. Love the process of learning the nuances of perfecting coffee dose, stamping, and extraction which are features you can adjust with the La Specialista. Watch the series of videos put out by Delonghi, these are invaluable. Only downside is not being able to detach the bean hopper to change to a decafe or other bean if desired. Also my coffee addiction has increased!

I love this machine! I have really leveled up my coffee game! I’m new to home brewed espresso and i read as much as i could viewed tutorials and other Coffee enthusiast videos on this particular machine, and I finally decided on this one because I liked that it had some automated features, but also allowed me to explore and learn with the non-automated features. I love the presets they give a good starting point for a great cup of coffee and allow the user to dial into their chase. I’m so thrilled with this machine. I’m considering a second purchase with a few less automated features so that I can continue to learn and grow in my espresso journey..

I absolutely love my La Specialista Opera! It’s like having a mini coffee shop in my own home. The quality of the coffee is amazing – smooth, rich, and just how I like it every single time. It’s already saving us money since we no longer need to run out for barista coffee, and the best part is we can enjoy it all without even getting out of our pajamas! The machine is easy to use, feels premium, and makes the whole coffee-making process a joy. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves café-quality coffee at home!

Makes amazing, café-quality coffee and is easy to set up. The build quality feels premium, and overall operation is straightforward. The steam wand is powerful and can produce perfect microfoam, but it’s not variable, so it takes some practice to avoid overheating the milk. Once you get the hang of it, though, it delivers consistently excellent results.

A great machine. It doesn't take too long to get the coffee you want. It makes every style of coffee. And it has a warning on everything. Low beans, low water. It tells you you haven't tamped your coffee grinds yet. This list goes on.

Bought the Opera last November & it (&I) have been singing out amazing coffees ever since. Great machine. Easy to use & clean. The setup was a breeze. The Smart tamper and settings are fantastic. I've had a few different coffee machines but this one takes the cake. Love my Delonghi Opera and highly recommend to all coffee lovers.
