De'Longhi Magnifica Fully Automatic Coffee Machine (Black)

A little bit of fine tuning and you can make great coffee with this product.

Had an older model that after much use (years) we had to replace. Purchased same model which has had a few upgrades, no power switch on machine is main one and drip tray doesn't feel as sturdy as previous. In saying that still love the machine. Main dissatisfaction, older paper person, there is no instruction booklet as with everything these days 'qr' scan which with big fingers fund very frustrating.

I was given this as a gift and I must say, I am super impressed. Could be easier to use, or easier to clean and makes really really good coffee. Milk frother. Just wow. A must for every coffee lovers kitchen. Saved a fortune not buying so much takeaway coffee.

I bought my de longhi at the end of May and was excited to finally have a real coffee machine. And, at last, I am able to say - it’s great. It took time to decipher those red light icons, to read and understand the “manual” in the shape of a big sheet of paper with various drawings and the odd QR code. Oh for the old days when you got an actual booklet included in the box. But I digress …. Yes - I’m loving my de longhi. Good choice.

My last DeLonghi lasted 13 years, so I've stayed loyal to the brand. I hope this unit proves to be as reliable. This machine offers great value for the money. It takes some tweaking to get it to produce a good coffee. There are several youtube videos with step by step instructions. Once set up though, it produces good consistent coffees.

Have been using this for four weeks and the coffee is puts out is great. Love the features for different brews. So easy to use.

This is a game changer! This is the first fully automatic machine I've had and the amount of time it saves is fantastic

Milk frother works great. Could have better manual to explain how to tweak the settings. There are some good online videos. For fresh beans, set the grinder between 1 and 3. I have mine on 3. Only change this setting with no beans in the grinder or while it is actually grinding. Set the amount of water per cup. There are 4 potential buttons. Set the temperature of the water to maximum. Set amount of a dose at maximum (central knob). I prefer to froth my own milk rather than the more expensive machines with the milk attached. My son had one and it is a point of failure and you have to put the milk back in the fridge anyway. I use a breville stainless jug with the temperature strip attached (70degrees). Again check online for how to do all of this. My wife uses a Breville Express. She did a barister course. Her machine grinds the coffee and uses a lever to tamp the coffee. I like the Cappuccino milk frother on my Magnifica. My wife uses decaf, I use a normal bean. That's why we have two machines. Horses for courses.

I love my new coffee machine! It is simple, easy to use and clean. The video guides were great and made set-up easy too.

Bought this machine as a direct replacement for my previous Magnifica S, lasted 12 years and finally started to have issues. Zero questions when it came to replacing it, when it lasts that long with out a glitch, copy paste and repeat.

Bought to replace an earlier Magnifica S which died from unknown causes. Apart from no Hardness tester in the package it was excellent. Works perfectly!!

I am 78yrs of age, and I have found the product is easy for myself and husband, who is 82, to use. I am still watching the video occasionally to make sure I know how to make different coffees.

I've had this unit for a month now, I bought it to replace and old Seaco Minuto. I don't know if machines have gotten better over the years or I've been missing out on better coffee all these years, in any case I've very happy with the results.

I only gave it 3 stars as it’s a noisy coffee maker and the machine is noisy Makes great coffee and i am currently using the maker of the coffee machine coffee beans

Purchased to replace my 12 years old Magnifica S. Identical functions and excellent coffee machine, however I've noticed that the appliance is not as well made as my older one, as it now employs cheaper (in my opinion) plastic drip tray and steamer spout. That said, it's a great coffee machine and hopefully will serve me as well as my old one did.

We've had this bean-to-cup coffee machine for over a month now and I'm very happy with it. It's simple, easy to use, and makes good coffee without unnecessary complications. For someone like me who mainly just wants straightforward black coffee, it's almost perfect. I also like that it has a manual frothing attachment instead of an automatic milk system. If I feel like experimenting with milk or frothing cream, I can, but I don't have to worry about cleaning milk lines and extra parts after every use. The machine is easy to clean and maintain, and the controls are straightforward. The only downside for me is that the water quantity options are quite limited. The machine is basically preset for short (40 ml) or long (120 ml) coffee, and their double versions. I would have liked a bit more flexibility in adjusting the water amount. Overall though, for the price and simplicity, I think it's an excellent machine.

Very happy with it after a month. Ideal home machine as all the settings can be personalised if you think you can do better than the defaults. There are some excellent youtube videos to show how. Bought it to replace an earlier model we had used for 20 years

I previously owned a Magnifica that lasted nearly ten years and worked brilliantly. This is not that. After a few months it suddenly began to make awful, weak watery espressios. It tastes like cursed coffee. I went through every single setting possible, including connecting with the (terrible) Delonghi Support. I finally found out online that many of the latest Delonghi machines have a microprocessor glitch which only puts one shot of espresso in when you press the two-shot light. The microprocessor basically gives out after a month or so can cannot make two shots but the light stays on. Clearly it's cheap. The video says you can check this by seeing if your "two shot" espresso produced two pucks as it should - in the tray where the grounds are discarded. If your machine has the faulty microprocessor, there will only be one or even half of one. I had two thirds of one where there should have been two. So now I know what has caused this but Delonghi customer support won't admit it or help besides cutting and pasting excerpts from the customer manual and I don't want to keep drinking cursed coffee. Before this machine I would have recommended Delonghi Magnifica and this is my third Magnifica but something has wrong with the company - their support is now just a frustrating, horrible experience and the company is clearly not disclosing faulty products from having switched to cheap microprocessors. Unless you're good at D.I.Y. fixes for microprocessors - I'm not unfortunately - or like disgusting, acidic weak coffee where two shot becomes half a shot but with as much water as a two shot uses, I do not recommend this product.

This machine is amazing, makes beautiful coffee with every grind. Love this machine June love Delongi wouldn’t have anything else.

We have used our Magnifica for a few months now and it is easy to use, heats milk quickly and makes great tasting coffee shots. Note this machine is not fully automatic as you need to heat the milk yourself, then move yor mug to the coffee dispenser, but it is simple to do so

I purchased this machine late February and enjoy 1-2 cups of coffee from it everyday! Loving how easy it was to set up and use! Saving me money from the cafe.

I bought the Magnifica s after using one that was my mums. I love how easy it is to use and everything is done for you from grinding the beans tampering and pouring the shot. Very easy to froth milk with the machine and you can adjust the grind to your liking. I suggest watching some youtube videos on cleaning the machine as this is helpfil to keep the machine in optimal condition and knwing little tricks on how to do this easily.

bought coffee machine for my wife. Was easy to set up and we both enjoy using it and it makes decent coffee. The manual coffee steamer is easy to use. It had the descaling light go on after only 2 weeks so I had to descale it. Then another red light flashed up following day the machine stopped working. I called the retail store who said I would have to take to a service place 30 mins away. I was disappointed that after just a few weeks I wasnt able to use it. Being frustrated I smacked the machine 3 times in the hope whatever was wrong with it would come loose. Well it did the trick..the light went out and Its been working ever since. I think some coffee bean got stuck somewhere and dislodged when I hit it. Anyway whatever issue it had its fine now, back to making delicious coffee..I havent spent any money on takeaway coffees!
