De'Longhi Magnifica Start Fully Automatic Coffee Machine (Silver)

Very slow process ,makes a lot of noise to achieve?

Have had 4 Delonghi machines now and always great. Need to try different settings to get the exact coffee but read the manual and experiment. It’s also much quieter than previous models.

I’m so happy I upgraded to this machine. Love love love it. No longer needing to buy coffee at a cafe I can now make it at home.

So far, so good. Quick and easy to use. Makes a good cup of coffee. Was a good price , happy to receive the bonus gift offer. I will see how it continues to run over the years. It's a lower end machine. The are functions that I wish it had....like a turn on timer..but that's in the higher end machines.. Good so far. Buy one, you won't be disappointed

I bought this a month ago and love it. so simple to set up and use but with good detail in its functions. The coffee is excellent and the steam wand is quite powerful. Easy to clean and maintain much more so than my old machine which was a SMEG. So happy with this.

Random error messages steam wond needs to be wider from machine coffee bin only has a small amount of coffee debris when it requires empty. The coffee bean processor does not stop in the right place for ease of removal to clean. Over all I would not buy again.

Makes great tasting coffee. Is quick too. But the design could be improved with a bigger water tank, bigger coffee grounds holder and a coffee bean holder that is both airtight and easier to fill.

Delicious fresh coffee. I found that fully soaking and cleaning the 2 removable steamer parts after each use is best to keep it working well

This is the 3rd De'Longhi I have had over the last 20 years. I love how simple the automatic machine makes having a great coffee, to my liking every time.

Bought this start last week. It was to replace my magnifica s. I wanted the magnifica s but our local store(small rural town) didn't have it. After using the start I find it ok. It is quieter, but for me there are choices on it i doubt I'd use, but that's a personal thing. I find the drip tray harder to clean- I have no idea why two trays are required why not just stick with the metal tray. To clean the tray the cups stand on for coffee - because t g ere are those stupidly unecessary ridges- its not just a simple wipe down and emptying the dang tray is (a small irritant) annoying with having to remove both the Ridge tray and the metal one. Having to programe stuff in - well i couldn't be bothered the button function kept turning off before I could programme it. Once I figured out how many shots of espresso I needed I stuck with that but making a coffee in a bigger cup to my taste took a while it was either too strong or too weak. I much preferred the dial on the front to regulate what I got sooooo much easier. Im sure if it was your first machine you'd be fine with it and if you wanted all those other things you'd be fine with it. it does the job but its a bit on the complicated side

Good machine easy to use - needs longer time on the milk steamer 60sec is not long enough- have to use twice

This was the first time I had bought a coffee machine. I was attracted to this model for its simplicity and good reviews. True to its reputation the functions are easy to follow and importantly the Magnifica Start produces an excellent cup of coffee with beautiful crema. It’s still possible to vary things like temperature and volume so you do have some control. It is somewhat noisy but it’s grinding coffee beans after all so that’s not surprising. The steam wand is easy to use and lets you control the froth level which I like. My only gripe is from time to time the grounds container indicator light comes on for no good reason (eg after only one cup of coffee) but will go away after I empty the container.

We are absolutely delighted with our fully automatic coffee machine - the only thing we have to do manually, is froth the milk ourselves, which is the way we want it to be - it looks sleek, it is attractive and digitally easy to navigate - it grinds the beans 🫘 beautifully too! I would unreservedly recommend this excellent coffee machine - our previous De Longhi coffee machine was 12 years old, and just faded due to age and definitely overwork!!! We were delighted with it also - now we have the modernised upgraded version, with which we are very, very pleased. The milk frothing capacity is superior, as is the ability to select bean strength - all in all, an outstanding unit in appearance and performance 😊😊😊😊 and it is quite noiseless in its operation, when compared with our retired 2013 model 😊😊

Great machine.Only downfall is not being able to use milk frother at the same time coffe is being brewed.

Affordable and ease of use for regular coffee drinkers.

After looking at many automatic coffee machines, and weighing up the pros and cons, the Magnifica Start looked, and has since proven to be the perfect machine for me. Living with a rare neurological disease making it challenging to walk, stand and simply make a coffee, the Magnifica Start with the side milk container, and easy operation, makes it much quicker, easier and achievable for me to make several beautiful coffee before having to top up milk container. The alternative of a more manual machine although may have some benefits, for me the time and effort to grind coffee, froth milk, wash up etc. was just not an option that would work for me.

This is the second Magnifica machine I have purchased and used. It makes a beautiful coffee and is very simple to use. The milk frother is amazing and I even make my cups of tea with the hot water wand.

I have had this coffee maker for 7 months. Easy to setup and easy to use. Makes a nice latte/flat white. Previously I was using a pod machine and the Delonghi is saving me a lot of money in coffee. It's much more economical while making a nice coffee. Quite easy to maintain and makes a nice hot chocolate when warming the milk.

I have been using this model for over 2 years, and it has not missed a beat. It makes coffee as good and even better than most cafes.

We have had ours for 6 months after upgrading models and love love love it. I love how quick it is. My only little issue is We can't get 2 cups of milk to froth and get hot enough but we just do one at a time

After many years of having an earlier Magnifica coffee machine, I upgraded and am so very happy that I did. This new Magnifica is wonderful at making our perfect cup of coffee. We opted for the steam wand as we tend to drink more black or flat white coffee than cappuccino and the available settings are perfect for our needs.

Have had machine for awhile now and absolutely love it, easy to use and if it stopped working would purchase another one straight away. The only criticism is when it needs rescaling there is no warning and machine cannot be used until done.

I bought this machine 6 months ago and wish I had bought it sooner. I love it. I rarely buy coffee now whereas I used to buy at least two every day. Now I make my own coffee and take it with me when I am travelling. For the price of the machine, I find the coffee to be very consistent in quality and flavour.

Morning coffee has never been made with so much ease awesome product would recommend it to anyone

This is our first automatic coffee machine after upgrading from a pod option. We wanted something easy to use with basic features that made a great coffee. This machine definitely fits the bill. It’s straightforward in use, and we love the option to have whole beans or ground coffee. The push start buttons are very responsive. Temperature is good, water comes out nice and hot. The only reason I can’t give four stars is because it is quite noisy, and also the milk frother can be a little temperamental.

Great machine. Makes the perfect coffee every time. The steam wand means we can make barista coffee at home.

I upgraded to this machine from the previous model and it has been great. Easy to use and makes a great coffee every time.

Some friends of ours were looking to buy a new coffee machine and with a little research we suggested they might look at the Delinghi Magnifica Start. Well it turned out to be so good and on their recommendation we ended up buying ourselves one as well calling it our ‘Mothers Day’ gift .

We have had this Magnifica since 2018 and it hasn’t skipped a beat despite churning out excellent coffees seven days a week. It is simple to clean and uses minimal bench space.
