Manoeuvres and cleans well, but it leaks water EVERYWHERE. Like puddles all over the floor and that's just using the medium water level. Try boost mode and its ridiculous... I had to use a mop to clean up the amount of water it left behind. Also a nightmare to empty and clean the unit. The video of the user tipping the dry contents out is ridiculous... everything is wet, only way to get it out is to rinse it. The cleaning cycle is also insanely noisey. Returning the item for refund as it's going to ruin my oak floors if I try and keep it. Really disappointed. I don't really understand how this passed user testing.
Drops dirty water back on the floor. Doesn’t get into corners. Is very slow to remove dried spills. Loose dirt has to be gone over multiple times to vacuum up. Waste of money. I do not recommend buying this machine.
Have had the dyson clean and wash hygiene hard floor cleaner, its an absolutely useless appliance. It's does not pick up anything at all, it also does not clean the floor. Don't waste your money, im returning it and going back to sweeping/ vaccuming and steam mop.
I have only recently purchased this, so only used it a few times and overall I am happy with it. I HATE mopping the floor, so after moving into a house with lots of tiles and floorboards, i decided to splash out and purchase a Dyson. It does do a good job. It is super light to use which makes the job a breeze. I probably need to fill and empty the machine twice when doing the entire house, which is straightforward. The only issue I have is with the instructions. The video shows 15 seconds of a woman filling the machine with water, but barely showed you how to take it apart and put it back together after emptying it, and it is a bit fiddly, so clearer instructions would be very helpful. Also, the commercial makes it look like the vacuumed material pours out dry and you can easily tip it into the bin, this is false. It is a sodden mess and gross to empty out. But if you hate mopping like I do, it is a must purchase.
Thanks, Dyson, I like this product. I bought this to clean wooden floors at my beach house where I get lots of beach sand being walked through the house. It’s easy to use and I have sparkling clean floors- no more gritty feeling under my feet.

This cleaner is amazing can’t fault it at all.. thankyou for creating such an easy to use and well functioning product
Love my new Dyson Clean + Wash floor cleaner. No more cords, mops or bucket is a game changer for me. Easy to use and I’m impressed with how the cleaner itself is easily disassembled for emptying and rinsing after use. It may not be suitable for very dirty tiled floors or large homes but for an older person such as myself it takes all the hard work out of cleaning my floors. It requires so little effort as it is virtually self-propelling. Far superior to the steam mop I’ve been using and if it lasts as long as my Dyson vacuum cleaner (8years and still going well) then it’s definitely great value for money.
I bought this a month ago and so far I am satisfied with the product, with the exception that there is no cleaning liquid included in the purchase. When I want to buy one, but no stock!!!! This is a joke to me for Dyson services.
This is a very poor product and not worth buying. 1. Cleaning ability is low. One roller means it only really cleans when you pull it backward, so very slow 2. Drips water everywhere when in use and leaves streaks 3. Water goes everywhere when you empty the tank 4. Self cleaning doesn’t clean the roller at all. Very bad product
Bought it based on the videos they have shown. Remember, they make videos fancy only. It would seem everything works perfectly. But its the opposite. This product is a joke
Just bought this a month ago and it has provided a happy me with how clean our floors now. 😁
Had it for a week and sent it back. Leaks and leaves streaks. Love Dyson but this is Rubbish
This Dyson appliance is a really strong option for quick, everyday cleaning, especially in homes with kids or indoor pets. One of its standout features is the way it separates solid debris from dirty water, which makes a big difference in practice. Instead of everything turning into a messy sludge, crumbs, food bits, and dirt are collected separately—making it much more hygienic and easier to empty. Convenient to use. Great for small cleanups. Solid separation is great. If you have kids or pets, this is worth a look!
I have had this Dyson Clean + Wash for a month, my first experience was not great. The instructions were not very clear and I'm used to using my manual mop, increasing pressure when needed. My second trial however was better. I was only using water, no cleaning fluid to see the results. I was surprised as my floors looked clean but when the unit told me to empty the water it was very dirty. I had watched a few reviews on this machine and was concerned about the negative reviews about cleaning the unit. Let me tell you, comments about keeping the dirty water section clean is not an issue as some have reviewed, common sense must be used. Once you empty the dirty water, fill it with clean water, gently shake it about and pour out the water. So easy to keep clean and takes seconds! To clean the dirt and solid items collected is is easy as the Dyson video shows. Overall, I'm very happy with this product, as strange as it sounds, I find using this Dyson unit very efficient and relaxing. Water output, you have three levels of water output, I preferred number two, just the right level to allow enough water to clean the floor which also dry's quickly. The machine self propells so get ready, I found the pulling forward and my pulling it back cleaned the heavy dirt of the floor. Self cleaning: once you have finished, return the unit to the charger, pick up the part to be cleaned, clean it then return it to the charging unit. Ensure you have some water in the tank, hit the on / off button and self cleaning will commence. This will be completed in less that 3 minutes when the drying of the roller process starts. Overall, the only reason I gave this a 4/5 review is because I have tiles that are not smooth and I have to run the unit over some sections longer. Although it worked on my surfaces very well, if you have a smooth surface, tile, wooden floor, natural or artificial, you will love this product as much as I do, even at only a 4/5 review.
I’ve used the Dyson Clean + Wash twice now and it’s definitely a step up from my old floor cleaner (a well-known B brand). Mostly wooden floors and kitchen is lino. Cleaned both beautifully. I’ve got dogs so there’s always hair and dirt around, and this actually picks it up properly instead of just pushing it around. Doesn’t get clogged with hair either, which is a big win. It’s easy to use, pretty lightweight and just feels well designed. I don’t hesitate to grab it for a quick clean. Only downside is it doesn’t quite get right into edges and corners, so you still need to go back over those. Overall though, really happy with it. Makes keeping the floors clean a lot easier with pets around.
I’ve been using the Dyson Clean Wash Hygiene system for a few weeks now, and it’s been a massive help especially with a small puppy constantly running around with dirty paws! It’s great for quick, hygienic clean-ups and makes dealing with everyday mess so much easier. I love how easy it is to maintain too, the self-cleaning feature is so great, not worried about mould on the brush spreading between uses which makes a big difference. It’s really well-designed and reliable, it’s definitely worth it for the convenience and peace of mind. Highly recommend for pet owners!
I've had my Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene for a few weeks now. As a parent with kids, I have found it to be super convenient and efficient in cleaning up every day spills. From milk, chunky peanut butter and even rice, I have found it to be extremely useful in tackling whatever the kids throw on the floor! It continually cleans with fresh water and better yet it doesn't just push stuff around like a mop, it separates liquid and dry matter all within the cleaning head. Tasks that used to involve 2-3 different steps to clean, can now be done with the one device in a fraction of the time. After taking care of your task, it's easy to pop the device on to the included stand and activate its self cleaning mode. This flushes and cleans the head, then afterwards uses heat to dry everything out. The only involvement from myself is to ensure there's clean water in the tank and empty the dirty liquid out. Very happy so far!
I am very happy with this product, so easy to use and does the job effortlessly. I have natural stone flooring in my kitchen that has a porous nature and regardless it is treated, the relatively uneven surface makes it harder to clean. Having a garden surrounding the house, dry and wet dirt makes its way easily into the house, and the kitchen being the heart of the building, onto the stone floor. With a mop it takes a good workout to get to the stage my 'after' image shows I took during cleaning (so not really after, but rather a progress pic along with a 'before' version for comparison) to show a friend how well it cleaned a couple of tiles so quickly and neatly. You could easily see on the water you pour out time to time from the washing head how much dirt it captures, and not just using the dirty water with your mop to smirk it around. The whole process of cleaning with this machine is easy, hygienic, thorough and effortless. Highly recommended based on my experience!
PERFORMANCE & CLEANING LOGIC This machine is essentially automated traditional mopping. Thanks to the high-RPM rolling brush, it feels akin to scrubbing the floor with a cloth hundreds of times in a single pass. Regarding absorption, it is fairly standard; it typically takes several passes to fully clear a small puddle or pet mess. I’ve found that the "deep scrub" logic here is sound - for a machine to truly agitate a floor rather than just glide over it, it needs a certain amount of weight. While this makes the unit feel more substantial, it’s a necessary trade-off for the quality of the clean. For this form factor, I suspect this is as good as the scrubbing performance can possibly get. PRECISION & MANEUVERABILITY The precision and maneuverability are standout features. The head pivots exceptionally well, and the design allows it to slide easily under low cupboards and furniture. It is easily one of the most maneuverable machines we’ve owned. Like most modern Dyson designs, there remains a small one-inch gap from the wall that it cannot reach, but for open areas and tight turns, it is excellent. WHERE IT SHINES: HYGIENE & SELF-CLEANING The automated self-cleaning cycle—which uses heat to dry the brush—is the clear highlight. It eliminates the "damp mop" smell and ensures the unit is hygienic for the next use without manual intervention. This is a significant step up from the Submariner. THE MAINTENANCE FRICTION The maintenance process is not too dissimilar to traditional mopping. A point for improvement is the dirty water tank design; for a premium product, the emptying process could be more refined. It requires a "balancing act" to remove and empty it without spills. Even with practice, we found that 7 out of 10 times, dirty water would spill from a corner during removal. Additionally, the self-clean cycle uses about two-thirds of the clean water tank per cycle, so expect frequent refills. VERDICT A beautifully designed, dedicated hard floor cleaner (this is a mop, not a vacuum replacement). The 4-star rating reflects the high price-to-value ratio for existing owners and the need for more refined tank ergonomics. However, for a new buyer seeking a high-hygiene, high-performance mopping solution, it is a top-tier choice.
