Eclettica 1.7L Kettle in Graceful Grey KBY2001G

I purchased the De'Longhi Eclettica kettle in white and have been quite disappointed with it. There’s a strong plastic smell whenever I boiled water. I followed the recommended initial cleaning and boiling cycles, hoping it would disappear over time, but even after more than a month of regular use, the plastic smell is still noticeable. Another frustrating issue is the power button. It doesn't stay down when pressed, I have to push it several times before it finally clicks into place and starts boiling. This makes using the kettle inconvenient. I wanted to exchange the kettle through Myer, but it was out of stock, making the whole process even more inconvenient and frustrating. While the kettle looks stylish, the plastic odour and unreliable power switch have made it a disappointing purchase. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it based on my experience

This kettle has been a welcome addition to the kitchen, mainly because I like hot beverages. It looks snazzy too, if it was a person I think it would listen to Miles Davis.
