I am not sure if it is due to age, post kids or stress, but I tend to have a LOT of hair fall out and this seems to be slowly helping my get some hair growth back. The packaging for this product was really helpful, the long tip assisted to ensure the product is evenly dispersed throughout my hair. Having markings on the container made it easy to hold and see the amount used. Whilst I saw some improvement in my scalp it did seem to leave my hair looking slightly greasy at times initially. This did however improve with time. I believe this will continue to improve my scalp condition and also be less greasy looking when utilised.

As someone whom tends to get oily hair very quickly, this product did the opposite. It conditioned my hair nicely, giving it the extra boost that it needed. It’s a lot runner in consistency but a little does go a long way and parting my hair, taking my time really made a huge difference. I really liked the pointed head, this made it very easy to use and have more control over where the product goes. I did use this product with the shampoo and conditioner from the same range, I noticed a decrease in hair loss along with extra shine and smoothness. I’m very pleased with this product

However, despite its claims to reduce hair fall and encourage growth, I didn’t notice any significant changes. There was nothing in my experience to suggest it actively prevents shedding or stimulates new growth. It may contribute to overall scalp health, but the results weren’t measurable or convincing. Overall, while the serum is a decent companion to the full Elvive routine in terms of texture and fragrance, it didn’t deliver on its core promises for me. Results may vary depending on hair type and how consistently it’s used, but for those with styled or moisture-sensitive hair, daily application might be more aspirational than achievable.

It was not overly heavy or oily which meant it was easy to apply before bed the night before my next hair wash day. I did try using it in the morning before styling, hoping that it would be a quick addition before blow drying to ensure I was using it regularly enough, however after drying with a diffuser I found it left a powdery white cast on my roots which I had to brush out. I didn’t notice much difference in the amount of hair falling out when washing and brushing my hair to justify continuing to use the whole system. I still had quite a few strands fall out while conditioning and brushing (which is normal for me and I didn’t expect this product range to fix this entirely). While it smelled great and made my hair feel soft and clean, it wasn’t quite right for me.
