30 years I have used this product with no complaints, this new formula should have been taken off the market when the first complaints started. I suspected something wasn't right when I opened the first packet, so I opened another packet (2 different batchs) - it didn't look any better than the first packet, but I proceeded with my root touch up. The formula was a cacky brown/green colour and just about set like concrete in the bottle. Very hard to get out of the bottle, so applying it was also extremely difficult! After 40 mins it was still showing the greys, and had not taken on my brown hair also - so I waited a further 20 mins - and NO better! It is obvious this product was NOT TESTED before entering the market! It is also obvious that the company is LACKING CUSTOMER CARE, it should have been tested when the BAD reviews started. If they had tested it when these bad reviews started, surely L'oreal would have done a PRODUCT RECALL - because they haven't, I can only assume they haven't any customer RESPONSIBILITY!!! How many people have been inconvenienced I wonder?

Have been using this dark brown for years but new formula turned my hair green and when I washed out was a light brown inconsistent with the old darker colour in my hair and still had the green shade to it. Will have to redo!

Horrible new formula, with so many complaints this product should be removed from the shelves. You've lost a loyal customer in me :(

My mum and I have used L'Oreal Excellence for many years and have loved this product. But since you have added the acid to the hair product our hair has been very dry and lifeless. The regrowth is light green and looks terrible, Please why change a perfect product. So upset and dissappointed.

I have been using this product for many many years, even though it is one of the most expensive brands it's my go to because I trusted the outcome. I dye my hair every fortnight and over the last couple of months (give or take) it has made my roots turn green!!! I wished I had look at the reviews before dying my hair today, otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my money again!! I was told to leave it in for 45mins, I did this time, the green is not as bad, but my roots are still green. What have you done to this product for this to happen as of late? Not happy!!

The dye itself is an awful yellow-green khaki colour, which will turn your greys the same green colour and gives even your natural dark brown locks a terrible sickly undertone. I’m naturally dark brown so it wasn’t due to user error or trying to do a dramatic change. Have never had a problem in the past, but when I checked there are heaps of reviews online about the same problem, potentially due to a new formula. Will never buy L’Oreal again.
