Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion

I have used the Nivea Express Hydration body lotion for many years. I do not like the new formula it doesn't absorb properly leaves my skin sticky not happy with it at all so have changed to a different brand. I live in Australia and we have humidity here this cream now does not fit with a humid climate as leaves skin sticky. You have this formula so very wrong the old one is far better please re think the formula!!

Express Hydration - Why change the formula?

October 2025 - Disappointed in the formula change of Nivea Express Hydration. It's harder to absorb into the skin, has no fragrance and is not as creamy/smooth as the long standing previous formula, which I have been buying for years. Please bring the old one back!!

Bring back the old formula

I use this moisturiser on a daily basis to prevent eczema on my arms and legs, and have done for years to great effect. The last lot I bought however, is obviously a new formula and is greasier, has a stronger (and not pleasant) smell and is a lot slower to be absorbed. I will no longer be buying it and will be looking for a new moisturiser to use.

Disappointed with New Formula !

Have used this body lotion for more than 8 years and loved it, however, the new formula is initially more greasy than before and hence it is NOT Express Hydration anymore, it takes significant time for it to be absorbed. Not what you need when you are in a hurry to get ready for work in the morning or a summer day in Aust... While I don't mind the new fragrance, it seems a little softer but the smaller pump top is a retrograde step....more difficult now to accurately dispense a small amount of the lotion. BTW, why is nearly every Nivea product now boasting 72 hours of something....Protection or moisture...etc?? I think most people here have a shower every day so, what's the value of 72 hours of whatever? Interestingly, the marketing words on your site for this lotion mention that it's suitable for everyday use...so, why the 72 hour idea. Marketing gone mad ! Anyway, it looks like I need to find a new daily body lotion that absorbs quickly.

Different formula?

The formula must have changed…I’ve been using the express hydration for over 10 years. My most recent purchase of the new bottle is a different lotion to what it was. It no longer runs into the skin anywhere near as well. Like the product has been ‘cheapened’ . I hope this will change with more feedback.

Hate the new formulation

I hate the new formulation. It doesn't actually moisturise my skin and does not absorb the way the original formulation did. I am going to have to find another body moisturiser.

Please Bring Back the 48h Formula!

Have used Nivea products for years and found them great, although the new 72h formula does not absorb very well and does not feel as moisturising as the 48h formula. Much preferred the 48h formula and the shape of the previous lid/dispenser worked better too.

Prefer the old formula

The older formula worked better as it was easier to spread and less sticky on the skin

It's a winner with me

I tried Nivea Express Hydration for the first time recently. It hit all the right notes for me - texture, light scent, hydrating. I do exfoliate my skin - I've always found this helps moisturiser to permeate. Any moisturiser would struggle with hardened skin. I have very fair, sensitive skin so it's a pleasure to find a product that works for me.

bring back the previous formula!!!!

Immediately noticed the change and it wasn't a positive one :( It now has a strong alcohol smell. It almost feels a wrong applying something with that smell to the skin. Hoping it wont be drying or irritating for my sensitive skin. Please consider changing it back if more negative reviews come in, the old formula was literally perfect!!
