Easy 2.
Great features, family friendly to use.

we purchased ours about 2 years ago and have had nothing but great success with it , updates itself and yeah it's great we were told from West Coast Hi-Fi to go to JB Hi-Fi and grab one. I highly recommend fetch mini to anyone aged 5 to 100. Its easy and family friendly to use. Great technology. Thank you.

Don't Buy This!

Utter Rubbish. I had the Mighty and a Mini for a few years. And then Fetch stopped supporting the older mini and it stopped working properly. I hadn't had troubles with the previous ones so I thought it would be OK to update. Wrong. Video freezes continually. Even on Free to Air via the antenna input. Also FTA over WiFi. Even streaming. And playback just stops altogether randomly.

Best value TV, movies and local TV over internet

We got fetch a few weeks ago because we saw it includes loads of TV channels, movies and games for the basic ‘fetch access’ of only $3.99. We also needed a way to watch free to air tv over the internet because our new apartment doesn’t have an antenna system. We can’t believe the value we get from fetch. Last night we rented a new movie from the store which I’m sure was out at the movies only last month but so much cheaper to watch it at home on fetch.

Buy something else.

I can't believe any company is prepared to put there name to a product this bad. Constantly crashes and needs resting. Menu is hard to use. It's slow and underpowered.

Highly Recommend this

My husband and I recently picked up the Fetch Mini, and it's been a game-changer for our TV nights. We'd been thinking about upgrading our setup for a while, and this was the perfect solution. It was super easy to set up, and we love that it brings all our apps, like Netflix and Stan into one place. Plus, the universal search is a lifesaver for finding what we want to watch without having to jump between different apps. The remote is also really intuitive and simple to use, which my husband especially loves. Definitely a fantastic purchase for anyone looking to simplify their home entertainment. Highly recommend it!

Worst STB on the market

A complete waste of space. i also had a large fetch box that was great. Switched to Telstra TV also excellent. Had to move to the Fetch Mini thanks to telstra and it is garbage. Too slow, cuts off all the time, Will not play movies etc because it times out. There is nothing good to say about this apart from it did not take up much space in the bin

Not suitable for elderly viewers

Terrible system for the elderly! I bought it from jbhifi after asking the salesman what was the best option for the elderly and he said this was. Every time my oldies (I set it up for them) want to watch tv, they get an error or the internet drops out and needs to be reset. Both I and they are very frustrated and disappointed with the product

Frustrating

Very frustrating to use. Staticky free to air TV and often always has issues with streaming services. Loading a show on Netflix usually is stuck on 0% and I have to reset the whole box or start an episode of a show from the beginning.

Frame loss issues with HD signals

As per other reviewers I have a frame loss issue watching FTA tv HD channels like 9HD. The Australian open tennis highlights this issue and is unwatchable. Not an issue if watching SD quality but who wants to do that. Hope a firmware fix will be released for this soon

Great !

Very happy, nice fast interface. Talks with fetch mighty to access all the recordings. FYI, I couldn’t get the sound to work, tried new cable/different tv etc. fix was to go into sound settings and toggle between stereo and auto and it comes good

YUK!

Was sent this as a free replacement for Telstra tbox. Do not want all the features just something simple to play my streaming services... Way too complicated. Always starts playing something when I start it up! I put the thing on mute until I pick what I want to watch... Very annoying and definitely do not recommend!!

Great Unit

My Second Unit. Not a replacement, an additional tv setup. Easy to install and setup as long as you follow the instructions to the letter. Remote could be a bit easier to handle, not easy for people with big fingers. Otherwise a great system.

Boooooooo

Hate this thing. Difficult to use and annoyingly incompetent. I won't pretend to know anything about picture quality etc but I can say for sure that this is the worst streaming box I've ever owned and I can't wait to replace it. Remote is annoying to use and the actual app thing is set out stupidly. Hard to navigate the features. Also have to have it muted majority of the time because it won't shut up with the stuff it auromatically plays in the background, which a lot of the time is crime or horror media, glad I dont have kids that will accidently see that whem trying to put on netflix. From what I can tell you can't screen mirror? Either that or it's impossible to find or you need to chant from the ancient text and cast the powers of your magic orb over the TV on a clear night of the waxing gibbous or whatever. Anyway yeah don't recommend.

Love the Fetch TV Mini

A great little device, which is very easy to connect to your TV. I particularly like the TV program guide (very easy to use). All the main streaming apps are available too, like Netflix, Stan, Disney and even Apple TV+ - very hand to have all these in one place, plus all the free view catch up apps like ABC iView. You can also add Fetch TV channel packs - a good variety of options to choose from. I used to have the bigger Fetch TV model that also recorded TV, but found I didn't need this anymore, as catch up TV is available. Great device!

Dead in the Dirt

Been with Fetch for years, but since Telstra purchased a majority share it's been a software disaster. I purchased this box as it has double the ram of the previous Fetch 4k I had. Waste of time & money. Nothing but constant restarts. Around a dozen a day if not more... and just lost volume again whilst typing this review. Will be ditching Fetch & my Telstra home bundle too. RIP Fetch tv.

Love it

Great little piece of tech. So handy with a couple of older tvs in the house.

Solid unit but some video issues

I bought this product to replace a Fetch Mighty so was already familiar with Fetch ecosystem and usability, so it’s about what I expect on that front. However I am having a lot of issues with FTA TV playback. It’s almost like there is a frame sync mis-match that I just can’t fix. The picture, particularly on 9HD has this jerkiness to it that the Fetch TV mighty never had. I’ve tried forcing frame rates and resolutions, replacing HDMI cables and all sorts, but no luck smoothing this out. Also it is always sending out video in Dolby Vision, even for TV and I don’t understand why. I like Fetch TV overall, but this particular model seems to have some bugs.

Don’t buy unless you like wasting money.

This is not a good product. Seriously slow, bad picture … might say 4K but picture is not as good as Telstra TV (which Fetch replaces). Complicated interface, not suitable for someone who is not tech savvy. Advertising on the Home Screen all the time. Telstra should be ashamed of its blatant disregard of the customer experience, disregard for the environment, and shameless profiteering through this exercise (Telstra is a 51% owner of Fetch) for producing a sub par streaming box which is not as good as the box it supposedly replaces, and then telling everyone to buy it. You can’t use Telstra TV from 31 Oct 2024, because Telstra won’t support it. Even if the device is working well and streaming all channels… millions of Telstra TVs will become e-waste.

Rubbish

Rubbish. Worst interface. Slow, imprecise, unnecessary.
