Good value tomato sauce

Good value tomato sauce. My family uses it for dipping and cooking. It keeps well in the pantry. It has a good consistency, but a little on the sweeter side. I have to put less when cooking to ensure the meal is not too sweet.

I began this review by comparing the ingredients and

I began this review by comparing the ingredients and appearance of Fountain Tomato Sauce with another leading brand of tomato sauce. It was an interesting exercise! The Fountain Tomato Sauce contains MORE tomato paste than the other brand and LESS sugar and salt. Fountain Tomato Sauce is redder whereas the other brand was almost brown. The taste test reflected these differences with the Fountain Tomato Sauce tasting "tomatoey" whereas the other brand was more like BBQ sauce. Overall I was very impressed and will be changing brands to Fountain next time I need to buy some tomato sauce.

Always a favourite, Fountain sauces reliable range

Always a favourite, Fountain sauces reliable range. The tomato sauce the kids like and we just used it at a party with homemade pies and sausage rolls, everyone enjoyed it and the adults seemed to use a fair bit of it.

This is a nice tasting tomato sauce

This is a nice tasting tomato sauce. We do tend to prefer a ketchup in this household, but sometimes regular tomato sauce works too. I suspect this will mostly be used in making meatballs and meatloaf, both of which my kids really enjoy.

We really enjoyed Fountain Tomato Sauce. Tangy with just the amount of tang. Excellent with hotdogs and as an extra ingredient with sweet and sour chicken too.

The product was tested on: savoury sausage, slightly sweet vegetarian drumstick and unsalted potato wedges. I like the full, rich tomato taste (78% tomato), it is not too sweet and not too acidic. The sauce went well with all types of 3 foods. The product comes in an easy to squeeze bottle and shelf price is very reasonable.
