Solid, Super-Convenient Churner

I picked up the Cuisinart Freeze Ease ICE-90XA mainly because I was tired of planning dessert 24 hours in advance just to pre-freeze a bowl. Having a fully built-in compressor in a machine this size is a total game-changer if you like making frozen treats on a whim. What I Love About It Zero Prep Time: You just plug it in, pour in your base, and push start. If you want to run a second batch of a different flavour right after, you can. Fits on the Bench: Compressor machines are usually total behemoths, but this one has a surprisingly small footprint. It doesn’t hog the kitchen counter. Easy Mix-Ins & Cleanup: The opening in the lid makes it super easy to toss in crushed cookies or choc chips in the last few minutes. Plus, the paddle and bowl pop right out for quick washing. Keep-Cool Feature: It’s a nice safety net—if you get distracted, it keeps everything chilled for up to an hour after churning so you don't return to a bowl of soup. Things to Keep in Mind Small Capacity: The bowl is 950 mL, but in practice, you're getting around 3 to 4 decent scoops per batch. It's perfect for 2–3 people, but if you're hosting a dinner party, you’ll definitely need to churn back-to-back batches. Needs Freezer Time: Straight out of the bucket, the texture is very soft-serve. If you want proper, scoopable ice cream, you'll want to transfer it to a container and let it firm up in the freezer for about an hour or two. The Verdict If you have a big family, you might find the bowl size a bit limiting. But for small households or anyone who wants low-fuss, spontaneous gelato and sorbet without a giant commercial unit taking over the kitchen, it’s a brilliant little machine. 4 out of 5 stars.

Ice Cream Maker

We are really enjoying making Ice Cream in this machine. It also makes lovely sorbet. So easy and quick. Also I like not having to freeze containers or pre freeze ingredients. So much better. Very Happy. 😉

Rum & Raisin

Love this high quality icecream maker, especially the never-wearout touch-sensitive switches under tempered glass. I created and perfected my very own rum & raisin icecream creation with mixed fruit and real rum. AMAZING!
