Looks good, But Lasting Chemical Taste and Smell

The kettle looks good. But, even after boiling water through it 10+ times, the smell and taste of plastic or chemical in the water was so bad that we returned the kettle for a refund.

Terrible chemical smell.

Also purchased this in July 2026. Did not see the reviews before. Boiled about 10 times. Still smells of plastic or chemicals in the water. Undrinkable. So bad. Will try and exchange it. Do not buy this. There should be a recall.

Looks great, but water had a terrible rubber taste

The kettle looks great and was a perfect pair with the matching toaster, however it REALLY BADLY smelt of plastic when the lid is opened and no matter how many times I boiled and threw away the water, it kept tasting of plastic/ rubber… I kept boiling the water for a few weeks, but no change.. not sure if they all are like this or I got a faulty one… the taste was so bad, no one in my family would drink from it.. I took it back for a refund which was easy to process! Sad that I now have a blue toaster and no matching kettle which is why I bought the pair in the first place..
