Fructis Nourishing Banana Hair Food

The mask was presented in a large, 390ml yellow circular container with a screw on lid. The front side included the brand's logo and product's name. Nutritive formula facts, ways to use the mask, and ingredients could be found on the back. Once opened, thick white content was found inside with a pleasantly strong aroma of banana. Claiming to be suitable for those with dry hair, which I am one of, I tried the various methods for using the mask over a few weeks. A plastic scraper was used to remove a small amount of mask from the container. After using the mask, my hair appeared more nourished and had tamed my frizz.

Wonderful started thickening my hair as new hair grew on top where i was thinning.

The old formula was fantastic as a leave-in conditioner. It seemed like it absorbed into my hair and gave it soft, smooth waves and shine. The new formula is much less impressive and performs like any other cheap conditioner. While it still smells good and makes combing out wet hair in the shower easy, it's missing the avocado oil, coconut oil, and rosemary extract of the previous formula. Now, my hair looks limp and weighed down and I no longer enjoy using it.

The tub is white and bright yellow the perfect bright banana colour. I could smell the beautiful sweet banana scent from outside of the packaging it just made me want to dig in. White in colour and nice and thick you can use this hair food 3 ways, as a conditioner, a mask and as a leave in. I have used it all 3 ways to see how it works best for me hair. I really like the results of using it as a mask, after shampooing and conditioning I applied the size of a 20 cent piece to my hair and left in for a couple of minutes while I cleansed my face etc then rinsed. My hair was so hydrated and soft after use. My favourite way to use this is leaving it in, after shampooing and conditioning my hair I applied a 10 cent piece amount and left it to dry naturally. I have very thick and frizzy hair normally and this really softened, hydrated and smoothed my hair down making it really easy for me to run my straightener through it once it was dried. I would definitely recommend the Fructis Banana Food for Dry Hair.

Having previously tried the Macadamia flavoured hair food, and the Goji one, I thought I would try another flavour in the range. The Banana one is labelled as “nourishing”. This hair food claims that it: “Deeply hydrates and repairs, for soft and healthy hair. Nourish hair with no weigh down." The Garnier hair food claims to be 98% of natural origin and to not contain any: parabens, silicones, or artificial colourants. The label also says it can be used as a conditioner, a mask, or as a leave-in treatment. The hair food comes in a big 390ml tub. The Banana one has a yellow label on a cream-coloured plastic tub with a yellow lid. The lid is easy to unscrew. The product itself is a thick, creamy-coloured cream. It has a very pleasant and yummy banana scent! It is easy to apply: all you have to do is dip your hands into it, scoop out some product, and massage it into your hair. It rinses out well too. I have very fine, dry hair. Something that nourishes my hair without weighing it down is ideal. Because I want maximum moisture without added weight, so far I have only used this as a conditioner or hair mask, but it has been working very well. Not only does it smell delicious, but it has been leaving my hair feeling intensely hydrated, softer and smoother looking. You do not need to apply much product either, and with such a large tub, it is great value for money.

I bought this couple of weeks ago as i saw it in the store and was very skeptical about it, me and my daughters have personally loved this product and it has been our favorite hair mask since, it has helped my hair repair a lot, and remove all the tangles as i have loads if curls myself. And it has not left any irritations on me, or my daughters. I would definitely buy this again once ours finishes. Great product for great price!
