Garnier Skin Active Micellar Vitamin C Cleansing Water 400mL

I used quite a few products from Garnier before so I saw this new addition to the range I decided to give it a try. I use makeup almost every day so I need something efficient to remove it in the evening. This micellar water does a pretty good job, removing successfully foundation, eye shadow even stubborn mascara. It has a very light texture, literally water. I get a few drops on a reusable cotton pad, gentle rub and all makeup is gone. It leaves the skin clean and fresh. It has no scent which it's a bonus. Pretty happy overall with this product, it's reasonably priced too.

I would like to bring to your attention a concerning reaction that both my mother and I experienced after using the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Gentle Peeling Water (PHA + Glycolic Acid). I began using the product on Monday and stopped yesterday. The very next day, I developed significant breakouts that have since caused visible scarring. At first, I was unsure if the reaction was linked to the product. However, shortly after, my mother—who has a completely different skin type—experienced the exact same reaction after using it. Given that we both reacted negatively despite our differing skin types, it raises a concern about the product’s safety and tolerance on sensitive or varied skin. We are both now dealing with painful breakouts and marks that will take time to heal. I kindly request that you investigate this matter further. Please also advise on the appropriate steps we should take to address these reactions and whether you require additional details (batch number, purchase location, photographs, etc. ).

I think Garnier Micellar Vitamin C Cleansing Water works better than the original Garnier Micellar Water in the pink bottle. I only use micellar water as a makeup remover, with reusable makeup pads, & always follow it with a more thorough cleanse, so I haven't tested the claim that this doesn't need rinsing off. My skin is blemish-prone, & most vitamin C products cause my skin to break out - but the Vitamin CG (Ascorbyl Glucoside) in Garnier Vitamin C Micellar Water did not trigger any breakouts. Using this micellar water is my go to, first thing in the morning. It is non greasy, pleasant scent and wipes off every speck of dirt and grime off your face. It’s a great way to feel fresh before you start your morning skincare routine. The vitamin c in this micellar water is an added benefit. It helps to brighten your skin giving it a nice even glow. Pair this with any of the other vitamin c products from Garnier and you should see results with even skin tone. When used to remove make up, waterproof makeup melts away effortlessly, leaving your skin feeling clean, refreshed, and hydrated. It’s great as a first cleanser or even as a refresher throughout the day. Highly recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this and used it for less than a week because it is absolutely horrible. I have a rash all over my face and neck which is where I used it. I have blisters on my knees where I wiped excess product. It is painful and is scabbing everywhere. I DO NOT recommend this product!

I used this for the first time last night after using the “regular” Garnier micellar for a long time. I was interested to try this version and at first I thought the smell was nice. However immediately after using this (sparingly with a cotton pad like I always do) my skin felt stingy. Within 5 minutes it was on fire and my top lip was burning as well. I rinsed repeatedly with cold water but it burned for another 10 minutes. Absolutely never had anything like this before, but now I have a whole bottle that I’m afraid to ever use again.

This micellar water is fantastic at removing makeup and excess oils. while cleansing the skin I also notice a difference in my hyperpigmentation, it lightens my dark spots and evens out my skin tone. The way it instantly removes my makeup is amazing, this is the only thing I use to remove mascara and it is gone within seconds. I love that it also makes my skin feel clean, this is also good because, unlike other micellar waters, this has added skincare benefits - vitamin c. so while I'm removing makeup I can also be brightening my skin.
