GoPro Hero13 Black 5.3K HyperSmooth 6.0 Action Cam

Love this brand new at $399, what a price for a very short time. So good. Still have the 10 which i use but this just makes everything better.

I got this GoPro because I needed a camera to film my karting. When I first used it, not only did it hold up well in pouring dirty rain for over 30 minutes, it also was such high quality and was around 50% battery afterwards. It felt light and had crystal clear smooth and not shaky video quality and no wind in the sound, just the engine. It is very cool and also comes with a helmet mount btw. I would %1000000 recommend to anyone using it for karting. Its a shame is so expensive though, lucky I got it on sale.

For the money you spend you don’t get enough, then you have to buy all the add ons, holders, straps etc etc

I’m leaving this review to warn other users about my recent experience with a GoPro camera. I had several short videos saved on my GoPro, and the device allowed me to watch them back with no issues. Later on, without giving me any notification or warning, those videos were deleted. The camera then let me record new footage over the top of the missing files, so the originals were permanently lost. I tried multiple recovery programs (EaseUS, Disk Drill, etc.) but nothing could recover the deleted clips. These were important videos, and losing them without any warning has been extremely frustrating. A camera like this should never delete files on its own or allow overwriting without clear alerts to the user. I’m posting this so others are aware that this can happen. I hope GoPro addresses this issue, because this experience has made me lose trust in their products.

Not waterproof - used it for snorkelling in Philippines lasted 2x 10 minute swims less than 2metres deep. Wouldn’t buy.

Never Again, GoPro I bought a GoPro, sleek and new, The Hero13, Black and true. For Bali dives, a dream in hand — But things did not go as I planned. It ran hot before we flew, I flagged the fault — as one should do. Their team replied, aloof at best: "That’s normal. Just update the rest." We did. It didn’t help at all. Then came the dive — and then the fall. It overheated, shut right down, No footage saved, just deep let-down. Back on land, I tried once more, To show this thing was truly flawed. But first: more updates, resets, trials — They dragged it out for days, not miles. Then finally, they let me send The faulty gear back in the end. But told me I'd foot postage fees — A breach of law, if you ask me. I’ve had enough. I’m done for good. I’d warn the world if only I could. No trust, no care, no helping hand — Just heat and hoops and shifting sand. So GoPro, here’s my parting cheer: You’ll never get another cent from here.

This is a pretty good use of your money - I'm fairly certain it can't (the tripod part, anyway) go underwater because it has a battery inside. Aside from that, it's excellent.

got this for my son and he is loving it so much! He told me to not bring it underwater too far because of all of these reviews but we decided to try it anyways at it was super! Our first proper good camera and it blew our minds how good it is!

pretty great but not as good as i expected. The camera has a small black spot on it, it doesn't bother me heaps but it would with someone else.

Wanted to upgrade from my old handled camera I used with a case for underwater picture/videos for an upcoming family holiday. Hesitated a fair bit between GoPro or new entrants, and between the GoPro Hero and the 13. Decided to go top of the shelf as I update my gear once every 15 years... The quality of the videos is absolutely amazing! This camera is packed with functionalities (like Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, ...). However it failed on me on day 4 of my holidays. Took some videos of the family at the pool and the beach, no problems. But on the day we had a snorkeling excursion, it lasted about 10 minutes into the water then died. The front screen was full of water. The battery hatch was perfectly sealed, but water came in from somewhere else. Let it dried for days but could not revive it. Went for the brand to get piece of mind with the quality, wrong call. Great service from JB-HiFi though. As it was still under warranty they just replaced it with a brand new one. 5 stars for this experience. I guess I'm in to fork out another 100 bucks for a case. Maybe I got unlucky and got a bad batch, but I now have zero confidence this thing is waterproof.

What a great bit of gear. My previous Gopro was a hero 5 and it is fun .... but this is so superior.

So far it won't update, this should be easy GoPro. Its a brick.

Camera has extremely good quality at 5.3k and super smooth at 120 fps 4k. couldn't be easier to start recording (just press one button). got it for $498 from JB HI-FI. well worth the money.
