Halo: Campaign Evolved

As someone playing halo for the first time, this game was amazing. The pre order bonuses came easily, account linking was flawless and the game was great fun. I have yet to play the prequel missions or play with my friend who has the game, so I look forward to that.

I was genuinely excited to play Halo on PS5, but unfortunately ended up returning my copy. Before I could properly get into the game I was required to go through the Microsoft account/sign-in process, which became frustrating when the verification process wasn’t working properly. I bought a physical PS5 game expecting to be able to install it and play without having to create or link another company’s account just to access it. This is particularly disappointing because I actually wanted to play the game. I haven’t rated it poorly because I think Halo itself is bad, but because the mandatory account requirement and sign-in experience were enough to make me return it. I think the Microsoft account requirement should also be made extremely clear to customers before purchase.

The cutscenes were utter garbage. All of 343’s input was cringe. $84 for no multiplayer, no theatre mode just a campaign with worse cutscenes. I wish I could get my money back.

This game is pretty good and going to sell well it is going to be successful

Amazing remake of a timless classic, played over 150 and still loving it. Well paced with amazing graphics and excellent controls.

Terrific remake of a beloved game. Halo CE is my favourite video game of all time and I believe this game does it justice. the gameplay feels fun, and well balanced. The graphics look FANTASTIC and the storyline is just as beautiful as before. PROS: 1.) Beautiful UE5 graphics, 2.) Solid Frame Rate, 3.) Gun play feels the best is ever has been, 4.) Weapon aiming feels good and not tacked on, 5.) Sprint works well with Halo, 6.) Additional campaign levels are good, and dont feel like slop. CONS: 1.) No multiplayer. Halo has always been notorious for its multiplayer mode; and 2.) I feel as if the movement could be better. the controls feel fluent however, too often it feels like master chief is floating instead of walking. Despite these issues I highly recommend picking up this game if you love Halo and I give it a 9/10.

Gamplay Graphics Storyline Nostalgic Details Co-op

It requires you to create a Microsoft account or link an existing one with a PlayStation account. If you don’t, it won’t let you play the game. Split screen? Guess what? Your coop companion needs a Microsoft account too. This isn’t ownership. Online connectivity for a single player game is criminal!!

Played for a couple of hours. Definitely takes me back to when Halo was first released. Having heaps of fun. Better than most remastered games.

Haven't had this much fun playing a shooter in a long time. So long as the lack of multiplayer doesn't bother you, this is an absolute must buy for any halo fan new or old in my opinion.

Ignore the negative reviews. This Halo is fantastic and plays very very well. Its good to have a classic game back and remade ready for the next generation to enjoy what we did many many years ago. Hopefully they continue with Halo 2. This is defiantly a must buy.

Fantastic game, been playing the campaign over the past few days. With Halo being my childhood it was so nostalgic to land on that Halo ring again. The Gameplay, weapons and sandbox really bring the original game back to life while not changing the core gameplay. They keep the original game intact while the bonus missions add more context to Johnson and Chief for new players to the franchise. Graphics looks incredible on Xbox Series X, sprint doesn’t change the dynamic of the game too much. It really helps getting around and exploring the ring better. Overall great to see Halo back, just wished it had Multiplayer.

Not worth buying this game. Hugely disappointing. The heart and soul that made the original trilogy and Bungie additions so great has well and truly gone.

Ignore what Sadhaloman said - they clearly ignored what was on display. Gameplay, graphics, controls, pacing and the story are what you expect from a Halo game. I got a great amount of play from it and didn't mind the new prequel missions at the beginning.While there is some things (multiplayer) that could be tweaked - I think this is a solid remake/remaster of a classic game.

If you love Halo, don't bother. If you're looking to reignite the nostalgia, don't bother. It you were hoping to enjoy halo again for the first time like you did when you were 8, don't bother. It is not Halo, just a game wearing its skin.
