Excellent for beginner and experienced gamers

Absolutely love HeroQuest. Since purchasing the Base Game I have subsequently bought all of the expansions too. Our family really enjoy playing this together, with each family member taking control of their hero while I try to challenge them along the way as Zargon. The base game provides excellent value for money with all the well sculpted minis, furniture and rule books. Each quests takes a while to complete so set aside at least two hours per game. I would highly recommend playing the downloadable free quest New Beginnings before starting any of the quests in this game as it's a great way of familiarising new players with the game and giving their heroes a chance to earn some rewards before undertaking the first proper quest. As someone who also paints WH40k, the miniatures and furniture are great fun to paint up. Even if you're not experienced with painting you can easily use a slap chop method with them for a quick way to add extra immersion to the game. Midwinter Minis on YouTube has a great playlist around painting them up.

Nicely Updated 90s board game.

I had this game as a child. It was my favorite board game and decided to purchase this 2021 re-issue. Artwork, Minis, and props have all been updated but still keep some of that 90s version feel. All plastic design for the open / closed doors and the furniture. Which in my opinion is better than the 90's cardboard between plastic parts. This game can also be paired with the mobile app to let you play solo or have narration while questing. A great board game.

I love this game so much

My brother got me this game for christmas. I have massive gatherings at my house , it is so much fun, my kids play, my family and friends all come over. you can team so two or even three people can play on one character so no one gets left out. We even all dress up when we play. we are up to our 4th mission and i can't wait for the next one. I also love to paint the miniture characters. put the deivces away and really connect with your friends. Absolutely love it
