Poor quality photos - don’t recommend.

I originally wanted a square Instax but was upsold to buy the Instax mini evo due to the hybrid specs. However, on testing, the quality of the images is so much poorer than a regular Instax Polaroid. Obviously can’t return now that it’s been opened - a really disappointing experience all round!

Well worth the price

I received this as a gift and it is so versatile! In addition to buying the camera, you will need to buy film and a SIM card as it doesn’t come with the camera originally. Some positives are you can customise the image and add filters before you take the picture and if you don’t want to print it you don’t have to which is an awesome option that saves you on film. It can be slightly tedious getting set up but I recommend just looking up a video on YouTube that very clearly explains how to set up the camera and talks you through how to use and it’s features. I have the 64gb SIM card which gives me approx 50,000 photos that can be saved on the camera. I highly recommend downloading the app as it gives you the option to print existing photos from your phone. You can’t use the all of the cool features from the camera on existing photos but a simple free photoshop app can add those to pictures you want to print. All in all this is a really great product and I highly recommend.

Great Introduction to film photography

I'm new to film cameras and have always wanted to get into it. This little camera is so fun to take to events and holidays. I love playing with the filters and having the opportunity to print photos from my phone. The reason I don't rate it 5 stars is because the camera quality is not amazing but it is still good and I compensate for it by also taking photos with my phone camera. Overall I love it but wish it was not so expensive!

Semi acoustic photography

A very practical toy that brings the best of Polaroid photography and the adequatecy of digital photography together. Being able to choose before printing a photo is a godsend and helps me to save hundreds on unnecessary film. The filters are pretty decent and there's some wacky "apple photobooth-esque" camera tricks you can use. My minor gripe is that you can't officially send photos from the camera to your phone via the app unless you've printed them on film first which kind of defeats the purpose of wanting them on my phone. Of course, you can upload pics from the micro SD card but the camera's only native way to send photos to your phone through the app is for photos you've printed prior.

Convenient travel camera

I bought this as a modern take on mini film photos. Apart from the fun filter functions, the 2-in-1 polaroid camera/printer function is amazing. I can take as many photos without wasting films by choosing photos from the digital memory. Highly recommend as a travel and/or gift polaroid camera.

I wanted to get a new Instax Camera but I love the functionality of my Mini Link. This camera does a great job of offering both. Plus I love the range of effects and filters. SO GOOD. Remember to get the companion app!

Great Printer, Disappointing Camera

I've rated the Instax Mini EVO Instant Camera 4 out of 5 stars because while it effectively prints photos, the camera quality falls short for general use. It's more like a printer with a basic camera attachment, and I find it more convenient to snap pictures with my phone and send them to the EVO via Bluetooth than using the camera itself.
